FOOD AGAIN!!!!!!

I think we might have done this.... but...

Creamed Chipped Beef on Homefries(sliced fried potatoes) w/ toast on the side, and Coffee

Ooh breakfast, I love breakfast; pancakes, waffles, french toast, bacon, eggs, omelettes, sausage you name it, especially if I don't have to cook it. I have a particular fondness for eggs Benedict, but I don't do that very much.

For a casual, tip free, reasonably priced, good restaurant we will occasionally go to
Fazoli's

Which is where I am thinking of taking my better half after her work today. It's either that or a Mexican/American place we both enjoy. Chili Rellenos for her me thinks.

Maybe I'm just cheap.. but i HATE spending money on eating out. Every time we do, which isn't that often, I just think about how many dinners we could have cooked at home for the same amount of cash. Also, when we find something absolutely delicious, I get home and search the net on how we can make it at home.

Ok whatch gonna fix for Independence Day? With some of the comments on eating out I will only say that we are going to Ponderosa.

Ok my better half loves hot dogs with sauce, mustard, onions, and occasionally slaw. What do you put on your hotdogs? Or tofu dogs.

All the things! Peppers, onions, mustard (and/or deli mustard), sometimes ketchup, lettuce. My hotdogs tend to look more like fully-decorated hamburgers by the time I'm done with them. :P

My wife thanks you for including the meat free dog... The best dog has mayo, relish, mustard and a little onion on a potato roll. Its also eaten in two bites

now i want one... or 4

How can you eat a hot dog without chili? [troll]There is NOTHING better than Tony Paco's chili dogs.[/troll]

If no chili is available, I like mine burnt with catsup and yellow mustard.

Ooh, forgot about slawdogs, almost as good as a chili dog with slaw and mustard.

Ok church picnic at our place tomorrow. Small gas grill, nothing special, to fix the hotdogs on. Is there something that would go with hotdogs that could fit easy on the grill? And no we don't have any vegans coming, it is a meat and potatoes, Appalachian, basic Salvation Army Corps.

Do you mean like another meat or another side? Because at first I thought corn, but then realized that is neither meat nor potatoes. :)

Another meat. We are doing the Hotdogs, sauce, and buns. Everything else is potluck.

Too late to reply now. What did you decide on? Really I think just hot dogs are fine but the easiest meat to tack on would probably be brats. :)

We went with just chicken lips hotdogs. I cooked up ten pounds and had about 1/3 left over. Lots of desserts, cheese puffs, pretzels, punkin pie, pasta salad, and slaw for the most part. Very good sauce fer the dawgs. We izza gonna do it again in October.
