Another reason to love linux.

You get used to it, if you ever have any issues, the gentoo community is great. They actyally write a large portion of the patches because of their large software base in portage. Its nice to beable to emerge something and its almost always in the tree. Binary package systems just dont work too well :(

I would recommend spending some time with your current version or switching to Saybayon, I havent personally used the distro, but it looks great and is based off gentoo.
