2012 Christian LAN event?

So, any volunteers to plan and manage a west coast LAN? I can certainly assist as my schedule allows, but it would be best if someone local led the effort.

If Santa Rosa is an agreeable location -- which seems like a solid choice to me since we have multiple members living in the general area, at least four of whom have already posted in this thread, and the city itself has a very good concentration and variety of services laid out in the downtown area to offer a good experience for out-of-town visitors -- then I could do a lot for it, but not everything. So I'd be willing to volunteer as long as there were a couple of other people to work with too.

I would say Santa Rosa is probably a decent location since it's the largest city north of San Francisco... Plus I live in Santa Rosa lol.

There might be a hotel around that would let us rent a conference room. Not sure how much that would cost but it would be convenient.

I just got back to school in Rocklin, CA so I'm two hours away, which means I'd definitely make it if the dates worked for me, but I have too much on my plate right now to try and take something like this on.

If the West Coast Event happened in California and I had enough notice I'm sure I could swing down for a couple days. However I don't know the area so it would be up to some locals to put stuff together.

Would anyone be interested in a CGA LAN party later this year in Springfield, MO? If Springfield isn't popular enough, how about St. Louis?

Should one happen in the Midwest and not on the West Coast, I may be persuaded to swing out that way as well. May even try for the East coast if that's the only one that happens.

Of course it all depends on timing/monies within work/school/real life.

Still, I would like to attend no matter where it is held.

If you're willing to help plan a West Coast CGA LAN (even if you're not available to lead the planning), send me a PM and I'll add you to our private 2012 CGA LAN Events forums.

Yes.

Edit: Oh! I suppose you want more information...

There are people in a super secret forum here who are ironing out the fine details. The NY LAN is almost complete and there's another one in the works for the Midwest (or the Middle East if you like Brick Tamland's perspective). No word on a Western LAN... perhaps if those people want one those people should step up to the plate? Just sayin'. :)

Actually, the West Coast is on tap too, but it is in the Redeemed section.

They have a spot in NorCal. No date.

NorCal? But... but... but... we have Huntington Beach and San Diego stuff down here.

Wait. It's a LAN event. All outdoor factors are non-factors. ^_^

...now that I've met my light trolling quota for the day...

It's cool that progress is being made. Unfortunately, I don't have much to contribute at the moment other than this: :)

Bump.

Hey guys! I am very interested in a Dallas area lan...would anyone else be? Unfortunately my dad started a new job for Texas Back Institute not too long ago, so he wouldn't be able to host it..and I doubt I can host it either, so I couldn't do that, but maybe we could get enough interest to get one here!

Dallas area you say? That puts you only 7-8 (estimated) hours away from the Springfield, MO LAN in July...

Just saying... You should defiantly check it out :P

No need to be rebellious about it.

But you definitely should consider attending the Springfield, MO LAN.

EDIT: A link for those that may have missed the (admittedly bad) joke.

Next time don't spell it out!
The one time I don't spell it out will be the time I get angry PMs from upset people who did not see what I did there. So I have to show everyone what I did there.
