i am completely surprised but then again relieved, now we just need to remove the wolf thats in republican disguise.

You mean Huckabee?

Oh wait... he doesn't believe in evolution... so he couldn't be a wolf in a Republican disguise...

=X!

i was referring to McCain, who is not a republican

I'm upset that he dropped, because that means we're not going to convention anymore -- that was the only chance for my man Ron Paul. Now it's a shoe-in for McCain.

The conspiracy theorist in my head kind of suspects that the big-wig media owners had a play in this. Could they have paid Romney off so he would drop out so McCain would win? McCain is going to offer big corporations tax breaks, and pay off Romney would be a minor bump in the financial road. Could it be? Are they intimidated by Ron Paul? Me thinks so...

I liked Ron Paul until he started to say whatever would get people to like him...I am currently for Huckabee, and I really hope McCain doesn't get it, he is so not a Republican, and almost everyone sees it...

I don't like Huckabee... no evolution? Come on.

Also, I am for the separation of Church and State, Huckabee is for displaying the Ten Commandments in public schools. To me, that is anything but the separation of the Church and State; which is one of the founding principles of our nation.

He is also for Tax-credited programs for Christian schooling. I am not sure if this is for private schools or public. I find it appalling if he intends this for public schools, run by the government.

By displaying the Ten Commandments in public schools, where children of other religions congregate to learn, it can force Christianity upon them. It is not fair to them, nor is it appropriate in a learning environment. If they want to learn more about Christianity, they can visit a local church and learn there. I find it quite controversial.

Well, it's Huckabee or McCain. McCain's voting pattern seems to be changing with the times, at least Huckabee is steadfast.

Although, he seems to use his religion as a tool.

The thing that won me over with huckabee is he is willing more willing to pass net neutrality laws vs ron paul, and hes more republican than mccain

I believe the Tax Credits thing that was refered to that Huckabee is supposed to support is for private schools, not public. That wouldn't make sense.

Like say you are a parent and you pull your kid out of public school for whatever the reason may be, and enroll him/her in a private school or homeschool, currently you still have to pay taxes that go toward public schools and everyone else's kids. While you'll have to pay extra out of pocket for private schools. Instead, you'll get a a tax credit, maybe a tax write off, so that that money is redirected at your kid instead of someone else's.

Words right out of my mouth.

I'm for Huckabee too as of now. I actually really liked Romney (I know, dangerous, right?). Not all of his policies, mind you, but most of them, and just the way he carried himself was incredibly impressive. I think he could have done a good job.

I'm sad that Huck is such a long shot cause I'm with most of you--I really really don't like John McCain especially with an (R) next to his name. He also just represents to much of the present administration which, as a pretty big Bush fan for a long time, I have to admit has been wearing on me. I'd really like to see something new. I'm pretty sure Rush Limbaugh said that if McCain got the nomination, it would destroy the GOP and he'd rather see a democrat take office cause then at least they'd be blamed for everything that goes wrong. I thought that was funny... (to be fair, he also included Huck)

Anyway, I still really don't know. I actually don't mind alot of what Obama is saying, and I wouldn't be surprised if I went for him over McCain. The only thing that really bothers me is what he'd do with Iraq. Even his pro-partial-birth abortion stance doesn't bug me too much cause there's no way he'd ever get that passed. We'll just have to see.

The thing is, I don't follow them to closely. I just pray for who God wants me to vote for and on voting I go in and vote.

That'll work.

I'm a bit surprised that Christians would vote for pro-abortion candidates, but, it's your choice of course. :)
A guy who supports the vivisection and murder of unborn children could still be a great president, right?

Believe me, I'm completely against the vivisection or murder of ANY children, but you're making a judgement and sizing up the entire man based on one of his positions.

If Obama was the President, his stance on abortion wouldn't change anything. There aren't enough members of congress to make-legal partail birth abortions and even if there were enough to overturn RvW, he'd veto it, so for four years the issue is in lingo. Hense... unless you're making a statement about him as a person, abortion is off the table.

We got pretty ticked off when we had to pay for the new high school they put in that I don't attend.

Im pretty sure that if you paid for a private school out of your own pocket, then you would also pay for public school out of your taxes.

Anyway, I myself and relieved that Huckabee won nothing tonight and even more happy that it is mathematically impossible that he can win at this point; however, I don't really like McCain, not because he "isn't as much of a Republican as the others are" (which is a really stupid argument in my opinion, its like comparing name brands...), but because I don't want to be entangled in Iraq for 100 years. We shouldn't have been there in the first place.

I am absolutely thrilled that Obama won Virginia, Maryland and DC.

I find it funny that all these americans that want "CHANGE" are voting for all the wrong candidates. And Huckabee is not against evolution he just believes that know matter how life happened it was ordained of god. One of his fave authors is a big time evolutionist. So to say he is against evolution is uneducated and to say he would a bad president because he believes that way is dumb. Go to Huckabees site and read what he really has to say. I know he isn't going to win but at least he was for MAJOR change in our government. He was one of the best governors in the State of Arkansas which btw is a HUGE Democratic state (the Clintons are from there). He was so good that he got reelected and was the first Republican to win there in decades. (He was Deputy Governor first and the actual governor resigned 2 years into office and he took over) The things he did during Katrina were amazing. I believe he was there before FEMA, busing people out and putting all over his state at his state's expense because PEOPLE are more precious than the money in his state's treasury. He made sure they were not put in "camps" like most other states did. I dunno I did research on a lot of them and Mike really won me over that people really come first to him.

I'm homeschooled. Either way, I shouldn't have to pay for the thing I don't--

Never mind. Let's keep it to the candidates.

As for me, I don't like McCain, I mildly dislike Huckabee, Obama is for what I'm against, and Clinton is worse.
