I had been posting on the CGA as RuluSmoo, but due to several things about IRL and gaming, I'm dropping that name forever. For the past 4 years, I had been a member of the gaming clan, The Combine (aka Feral Uprising aka Ganked Again). They are a PvP multi-gaming guild and are almost always playing with DDH, Sinister, The Cabal, SUN, Fatalis, Conquest, and/or Covetous Crew. I'm not sure if any of you have ever heard of any of them, but if you have, then you should truly understand my decision to leave my clan and dump my past.
Little over 10 months ago, I got saved and have been trying to grow in Christ and follow him. Unfortunately, I found that whenever I would play with my normal crew, I would start to slip into my old habits. Even just hanging out in Ventrillo with them would have me falling. I wasn't happy with my behavior at all and prayed that God would help me find some Christian friends that I could play with. Not long after that, I stumbled on the CGA while looking for places to request prayer, for my church who was setting up a Shelter for Katrina refugees. I agreed with all your beliefs and contacted Hawk about possibly re-rolling on Terenas if my computer, which had been broken since April, ever got fixed. IRL has been to busy to even allow me to think about playing WoW, so my gaming computer was kept on blocks, but things are pretty close to normal again and I've got the itch back. The guy who is working on my computer just told me that it should be fixed on Wednesday, so unless something dreadful happens, I'll be able to start playing on Thursday.
I had played WoW in closed beta as a Rogue (Ruvio) and a Druid (Rulu). For release I played on Archimonde as a Hunter (Dizzy) and a Druid (Rulu). All of my experience, playing WoW, is Horde PvP. Alliance will be all new to me and I am sure I will have to get over a "culture shock" from playing on a PvE server. I am a fast learner and usually adapt quickly; however, even though I will try to figure things out on my own, I may still need help. I will be rolling a Gnome Rogue; I really miss playing the class that I had been playing since EverQuest and Dark Age of Camelot. I can't wait to start playing again, I hope to see you all soon and I'm very excited about the possibility of playing WoW in a Christian environment!
