Won't someone please think of the children (not playing StarCraft II)?

I'm guessing most of you don't check the Christian Gamers Alliance General Discussion thread, so you may have missed when a few of our community members (myself included) offered to find unwanted StarCraft II beta keys a good home. Here's a recap of my posts:
If I land another beta key, it's reserved for Bowser, since he's volunteered to lead Tribe of Judah newly-renamed StarCraft Series Chapter.

If I somehow, miraculously, land a third beta key, it's reserved for Elihu, since he's my best friend of 20 years.

So I'm afraid I won't be much help. :(

You may want to watch real-time Twitter search results. That's how I stumbled upon the contest where I scored my beta key.
Yes, I made it into the beta, but I'd still like to help Bowser and Elihu get into the beta as well. Word on the street is that Blizzard sent out a new wave of beta keys today, so if you received a key and don't plan on using it, please send it my way and I'll forward it on (unless, of course, you prefer to give the key to Joshinator or Keero, which is fine, too).

Whatever you do, though, please don't let the key go unused or, worse yet, sell it. (Selling keys is a violation of the beta EULA and a scummy thing to do.)
I post this here because Bowser has been appointed to lead our StarCraft Series Chapter and is laying the groundwork in preparation for the game's retail release. A beta invite would benefit the chapter (which, by the way, has been alive, in one form or another, since Tribe of Judah's founding in May 1999).

As for getting Elihu (a.k.a. Fjorboug) into the beta? That has nothing to do with official business whatsoever. I just would like to play the beta with him since we've played so many games of Brood War together.

So if you get a key and are going to use it, then by all means, please use it and enjoy the beta. Add me to your Friends list; my Battle.net 2.0 name is tek.seven.

But if you're not going to use the key and don't have someone else in mind to give it to, consider passing it my way so I can forward it on to Bowser or Elihu.

And, of course, if you're hoping to land a beta key for yourself, I recommend watching Twitter (search for "starcraft beta" or "sc2 beta") to find out about beta key giveaways.

What about me Tek...we played many BW games together too...
Aww! We did indeed play many games of Brood War together.

If I could, I'd give everyone in ToJ who wants one a StarCraft II beta key. Since Blizzard hasn't delivered a truckload of beta keys to my e-mail and since beta keys are nearly impossible to get, I've only listed two more potential recipients (and even that's probably overly ambitious) at this time.

Take heart, though! The current build suggests that the game isn't far from release, so summer may not be over before we're all playing StarCraft II together. :D

Na , Star Wars is what will make peeps leave wow,, Start Craft wont keep peep away from wow, since its still blizzard

have you played Starcraft before? I would leave WoW for Starcraft.

uhg it's Aion all over again...but BETTER....people will leave wow :(
I don't see StarCraft II taking players away from WoW so much as distracting them for a while. I don't think you'll see anyone (or if you do, only very few people) cancel their WoW subscription in order to play SC2.

Some player bases tend to cross over more easily than others. For example, several Tribe of Judah members play both Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead 2. Few play both Guild Wars and WoW, though. I would guess the frequency of crossover has more to do with the time required to play the game as designed (30-60 minutes of Team Fortress 2 as opposed to 2-3 hours of WoW or any other major MMO).

Now you can expect a drop in activity in WoW (and most other Tribe of Judah chapters) for 5-7 days following the retail release of SC2 while some (I don't know if "many" would be overstating it) people play through the single-player campaign.

Once people finish the single-player campaign, I imagine they'll split their time between a strategy game (StarCraft II) and a MMO (WoW) or a strategy game and a shooter (Team Fortress 2).
