I'm guessing most of you don't check the Christian Gamers Alliance General Discussion thread, so you may have missed when a few of our community members (myself included) offered to find unwanted StarCraft II beta keys a good home. Here's a recap of my posts:
As for getting Elihu (a.k.a. Fjorboug) into the beta? That has nothing to do with official business whatsoever. I just would like to play the beta with him since we've played so many games of Brood War together.
So if you get a key and are going to use it, then by all means, please use it and enjoy the beta. Add me to your Friends list; my Battle.net 2.0 name is tek.seven.
But if you're not going to use the key and don't have someone else in mind to give it to, consider passing it my way so I can forward it on to Bowser or Elihu.
And, of course, if you're hoping to land a beta key for yourself, I recommend watching Twitter (search for "starcraft beta" or "sc2 beta") to find out about beta key giveaways.
If I land another beta key, it's reserved for Bowser, since he's volunteered to lead Tribe of Judah newly-renamed StarCraft Series Chapter.
If I somehow, miraculously, land a third beta key, it's reserved for Elihu, since he's my best friend of 20 years.
So I'm afraid I won't be much help.
You may want to watch real-time Twitter search results. That's how I stumbled upon the contest where I scored my beta key.
I post this here because Bowser has been appointed to lead our StarCraft Series Chapter and is laying the groundwork in preparation for the game's retail release. A beta invite would benefit the chapter (which, by the way, has been alive, in one form or another, since Tribe of Judah's founding in May 1999).Yes, I made it into the beta, but I'd still like to help Bowser and Elihu get into the beta as well. Word on the street is that Blizzard sent out a new wave of beta keys today, so if you received a key and don't plan on using it, please send it my way and I'll forward it on (unless, of course, you prefer to give the key to Joshinator or Keero, which is fine, too).
Whatever you do, though, please don't let the key go unused or, worse yet, sell it. (Selling keys is a violation of the beta EULA and a scummy thing to do.)
