Well, even Gods tend to be archetypal metaphors rather than people - although some Gods are more human than others. Spirits generally seem to be the power of concept - to me anyway.

Now the Norse Gods (the Aesir and Vanir) are really VERY humanlike - seriously, check out the Egyptian Gods for an example of a less humanistic pantheon - and the stories clearly ascribe to them a code of morality.

But spirits in general can be much less anthopomorphised. Hence the confusion.

ok so spirits "look" like humans?? if they look like humans then are the able to affect the phsycal world without some big ceremony??? and also y not believe in Jesus who WAS FULLY GOD and FULLY MAN??? i mean he had perfect morals never did anything wrong, was man and was God.
 
Ive seen a demon before, scariest thing Ive ever seen. It was a dark man sitting in the cornor of my room, just smiling. I had just done something wrong too.... I said "in the name of God get out of here" and he vanished. gg No lies there.

I believe demons walk the earth, I have a dilima with believing angels do. PPL say they see them and all but the Bibles says they can look upon no sin and arent we all sinners? Therefore how could that be possible...still puzzles me.

Where in the Bible does it say that?

You'd figure if they couldn't look upon sin then there's no way God would send them to proclaim the Good News to shepherds...
 
dude post that verse thats way interesting cuz im reading a book called: what the Bible says bout Angels. really interesting. and if angels cant look at sin, then how do they fight demons?? or better yet if God seperates himself from sin and as humans we sin alot then how can he accept us into heaven? the answer is that we are forgiven and sin is washed away. and gj on ridden the demon of ur room, though i would have sent it to the abyss but hey when ur scared outa ur mind u cant worry bout details

i think this was an interesting question.

How many non christian answered.....

being extreem i think is mainly a negative term. BUT i guess some people would consider me extreem. I don't preach the word to people who don't want to hear. I don't offend the unsaved etc. But i don't live on the couch, and the title extreem is used by couch dwellers to shut practicle christians up.

I would be extreem if God told me to do something never done before. Like build a boat cos the rains are coming??? what's rain again Noah??? yea right. wak!


So if an angel of God came to you and said, go preach in the desert, and baptise people to save them from sin. ( ie lets not do sacrifice any more, let go against what the LAW says) would YOU go?

For me it would have to be GOD big time. BIG TIME. not just some wakky idea.

i think a true extreem christian ( the wakky ones) are the one who think up wakky ideas all by themselves, and then say it was God. And it happens a lot. unfortunately.


hmmmm what to do now. I think we need to borrow that hammer.
