What can I do differently?

I've been doing some thinking lately, and I realized I haven't been nearly as active a leader as I'd like to be for you all. I'd first like to thank Mike (Sydney Ablaze et al) and Aaron (Lana of Mountlake et al) for taking up the slack in what's amounted to a fairly extended absence.

I believe I've logged 6 hours or so in the last 2 weeks on GW, which is not nearly enough for the leader of the guild, and I do plan on remedying that soon enough. What I need to know from everyone now: what can I (we) do that would be beneficial to our guild?

I would like to know the good, the bad, and the ugly: what's going right, what we can improve on, anything that has happened or a decision that was made that you felt should have been done differently. I need to hear feedback (positive or negative) to help this group reach our goals:
1. To be a place of fellowship and encouragement for fellow believers
2. To reach out to pre-saved or unchurched GW players, first by example and then by sharing when asked
3. (and far subordinate to the other two) To make SoE a guild respected in PvP circles as being a very competitive, fun to play guild

I look forward to your feedback-- good or bad. :)

I haven't been with the chapter very long to say what's bad, good, what's lacking and what's going well, but I think the collective GW leadership has been doing a good job so far.

I'm still a low level player, and while the conversations in the forums have been mostly about high level content, I haven't felt out of place in-game or in the forums, and everybody's been very helpful with answering questions. The Thursday night "Low Level Help" is a great initiative, and by the sounds of it, most people are figuring out ways to hook up and do quests together.

I don't know what else to suggest at this time...so I guess, keep it up!

You guys have been doing a good job. I have no complaints at all. There are always people online to help out with quests and stuff. The best part for me is to have an active forum to share info and organize parties.

Lately, I've been getting burnt out on playing. I've logged almost 400 hours in-game and done everything that I can possibly do besides visiting the bosses that are deeper in Sorrow's Furnace than I've been (I've killed as many as 11 in a run and there's MORE!!!). That will be remedied tonight hopefully. I picked up Battlefield 2 and Dawn of War: Winter Assault last Friday so that I can change gears for a while. I'll still be playing from time to time but it will be greatly reduced. I'll still be on the forum a lot and if anyone is needing assistance or has questions, I'll be able to help some. Hit me up on Xfire.

Hey, you wanted the good AND the bad.

It'z all good in da ney-buh-hood.

lol, anyway, I have noticed a crucial error in this guild, an error that, if nothing is done, will keep this guild mortal:

WE HAVE NO THEME SONG!!!

JEEZ! Whaddya gotta do around here to get a decent theme song.

*rants about no song*

Ok, my ranting is done. But seriously, we NEED to get a theme song. That would make us, like, t3h r0x0rs.

my thing is when i look at WoW i see 20 man raids..... when i see gw i see on normal occasions, solo-questing. now i know we cant do 20man raids but more community events would be nice

A possibility would be to have something like an Underworld night. It's more accessable than Sorrow's Furnace, yet still benefits anyone...

Atown, I'd love to see that, but we just don't have the numbers on at the same time to support it usually. And when we do have a large number on at once, they are scattered over many different levels. :(

Shoe, I don't know that I'd call the Underworld more accessable. For one, it requires America to have favor, which we can't control. And secondly, even a full group will get destroyed in seconds if a LOT of strategy isn't employed. That being said, we did a FoW night once and it was great. So I'm all for an UW or FoW trip. But usually we get the same people interested in these things.

A UW/FoW night would be cool to have. I regularly go to UW either on my own or with 1 other person, recently its been the latter because it's easier with 2 people. The best/easiest way to farm UW IMO is with 2 monks. If anybody else wants to go, they can and we split whatever Ectos drop, if only 1 drops then we'll split the profits after selling it.

I'd like to try that with you Quantum.

Umm.....after thinking about it......I don't use the invinci Monk build....so guess that leaves me out?

I have only been in the guild a almost 2 weeks and I have only seen one person on Teamspeak. I think TS is a good way to get to know each other and build teamwork. Just a thought otherwise I am having fun. I think I am on too late to actually get to play with everyone.

agreed with ts statement. with cable i'll be on TS more often but yeah. and american controls everything from like 8am till 11pm pst ive noticed

Well, our TS server has been down a lot recently, but we're working to get that corrected. There is a backup TS server that we also use from time to time. I;ll see if Astrod00d or Halonic will post that, and I'll get it stickied (with their permission).

My teamspeak info is as follows:

IP: 68.229.178.146
pass: donkey

I'll look into creating different channels on it in case more than one group is using it.

Oh. *is disappointed at first*

Hmm... What instruments shall I use? :D

Also, what style? Classical (um, prob not lol), Rock, Rap, Hip-hop, Ska (spl?), Jazz, etc.

I'm sure I can find someone, or software, that'll do the job.

Try an industrial/rockabilly mix. Be sure to include the phrases "Pastori is the man" and "Lana is a nerd" at least 3 times each in the lyrics, preferably in the chorus. In fact, here's what you can use as the chorus:

Spirit of Elijah, God's Guild Wars clan,
Silver got it started, and Pastori is the man--
Sydney is teh awesome, but Lana is a nerd,
Let's go pwn some n00bs or some Avicara birds!
