Haha, very true...although if he's going to spend money upgrading the computer, it would probably best be spent paying for a Win7 upgrade and then the RAM wouldn't be a problem. :)

QFT... When in game my total RAM usage back in RC was under 2GBs in most games...same with XP...but in Vista, my brother and when I used it for a short time, was getting over 3GBs at times... :/
 
okay here we are LEAVING THE WII behind "sorta" :)

Okay I am leaving the Wii to my wife and kids...and moving on to either, PC, XBOX, or ps3...now here is why I added the other two...I went and returned all my unopened anime which I can't watch anyways, NO TIME, and I would rather play a game than watch a show..but hey that is just me. Okay so RIGHT NOW I HAVE $255 in cash/credit (walmart), I know that is not the best place to have half the credit but atleast it is something. :)

Okay so should I save up for the PS3 $299 or just go Xbox 360 for around $149 (arcade bundle) or a bit more...but either way it will end up being about the same as the Ps3 price wise, so now I have choices...AAHH :)

OR upgrading my pc...although I am still a console person...
 
if you've already got $255 set aside, wait for the extra $45 to get the new "S" model 360.

Though, i will say, I am iffy about buying ANY console somewhere where I cannot buy a replacement plan for it.

Springing for the $150 arcade model will end up costing you close to the new model if you want (a) wireless (b) a harddrive that can handle more than one game install

Specs, features, online, all that, ignore it. The best advice I can give you is to FIRST look at what exclusive each has to offer that you are interested in. THEN look at which has the features that most reach out and grab you.

I will leave my opinions at this, if you like amazing, cheap games, and also like "metroid-vania" style games, I have 2 words for you: Shadow Complex

You gotta go with what you feel will best suit your needs/likes/wants, there is a TON of stuff other people drool over that just doesn't do anything for me (MW2, Gears, etc) but there is a ton i do enjoy on both PS3 and 360
 
Andy, you are either the most indecisive person or greatest troll I have ever encountered. :)

Bg is right; don't bother with the arcade. It will cost you as much or more in the long run. However, there is no such thing as a $299 slim, either...as you will be paying $50 up front for 12 year olds to say nasty things to you.

Go with the cheaper, more reliable, better exclusives, free online play system: the PS3. :)
 
He doesn't HAVE to get Gold right off the bat. Especially if he doesn't have any multiplayer games right off the bat.

I mean, really, I pay for gold, but I rarely play anything online. I have had those random nights where I want to play NHL10 online, and my gold has expired, and then I get really sad.

$4-ish a month to get royally smoked (or conversely, to absolutely tear up a group of 4 people playing on the same team from one console) is well worth it :P
 
Go with the console with the games that look more fun to you.

Also the one that doesn't have a horde of homophobic racist 12-year olds who swear like a sailor when they're gaming. >.>
 
I don't think you are seeing the big picture here Logos you have 255 dollars at Walmart, 2 words "Waffle Binge". :p

okay I am making like a hen and sitting on this money until I hatch some more to go with it for the PS3, enough said. :D FINAL ANSWER! :rolleyes:

yeah Ryan the deal has to be with Walmart! :) Oh and to update I now have $302...and possibly $100 more on the way. :)
 
Its knowing how to work the system :) And sell things that I don't use anymore like my blackberry...and my blue-ray player (SINCE the PS3 is a blue ray...no sense in having two. :)

The deal I am looking at is at one of our local Walmarts...it is similar to this "DEAL" BUT it is only $349 here and doesn't have God of War but another shooter game in its place with Little Big Planet
