Let's look at it this way:Guys, guys. Think of it this way:
Who do you want more, McCain or Obama? I personally would want McCain over Obama, for my own reasons. I would've loved Ron Paul.
Which do you want to ingest more, strychnine or cyanide?
I personally would choose good old fashioned water--but hey, someone arbitrarily decided we couldn't have it.
At this point, I've got to reiterate HCS's exhortation to you to read the Constitution. There's no one that cares if you vote to make a statement or vote a party line.I mean, no one is going to care if you "make a statement" by voting for someone who dropped out but represented what you stand for.
The people do not directly vote for the President.
The President is elected via the Electoral College--a group of individuals who are selected by your State Legislatures under the hope that they would vote according to the will of the State Legislatures. In a good portion of the states--this takes the some type of relationship with the popular vote, but at any time if the State Legislatures wishes to change that they can. Additionally, just because the Electoral College is "told" to vote in certain ways, they can vote however they wish when it comes time for their votes to be counted.
What does this mean to you? It means that you should vote your conscience. Because if enough of us do so--then those in power will notice.
