And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20
I can look back and be thankful for things God did not give me upon my asking. His "no's" usually seem clear to me. I feel I am going through a maybe/wait, in an area, and this has occurred for a time now. Considering Romans 8:28 I trust Him. Therefore, I pray for everything to be His will. Are my prayers selfish, the desires of my heart not in line with Him? Is it sin that separates me?
Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and our sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59: 1 & 2
I have been pondering this since it was brought up on another post. He does answer no more times than not, but then, I am always going to Him
I know for me to have faith and patience is very important to Him. Perhaps that is the answer? Why does some prayer seemingly go unanswered?
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. Job 13:5
Trust Him when dark doubts assail you
Trust Him when your faith is small
Trust Him when simply to trust Him
Is the hardest thing of all. Anonymous
He brought this poem across my path many years ago when I prayed so diligently for my sister to be healed. He chose instead, to bring her home with Him. Does having a single doubt negate a mustard seed? Excuse the pun, but I truly feel I can always, by God's goodness, "muster" that much
