Well, it is time for my monthly pause and look at what is happening around Redeemed.
First, wow what an incredible ride we have been on the last three months plus. I took over guild leadership in November. The guild was in a flux and we were looking for direction and trying to re-establish who we were as a group. Little did I know what God was planning to do.
In the last few months we have seen Redeemed grow to new heights and broaden our directions and goals. Last Friday night we had over 40+ people online. We have right at 400 characters in our guild from 183 accounts. Our guild is active and growing both in numbers, skill and hopefully spiritually. We are bonding and expanding which can be very difficult.
It is with that in mind I wanted to address a few issues. As we grow it becomes very important that we continue to love each other and respect one another. This means that it becomes more and more encumbant on us as individuals to make the effort to fit into the guild. As you reach a larger number, we cannot expect everyone to know us and ask us how we are doing. We become the ones who must iniate the conversations and continue to work to develop the relationships. At the same time we must fight the natural reaction to feel left out. Often times people begin to miss the "family" feeling of a smaller guild. I do not think God ever wants Redeemed to be anything but a family. However, in a family we often have different roles we fill. There are times we must be the older sibling and hang with our younger counter parts. And as the younger sibling we often have to allow our older brothers and sisters to "do their own thing". We must fight against the urge to form cliques and fight the urge to call friend cliques. I say these things NOT because they are happening. On the contrary, I say them to ask us all to check our spirits and attitudes to ensure that Redeemed continues to develop in a manner that honors God and people. Please do not hear these words as a lecture or as pointed at any individuals. I feel God is leading us as a guild and He desires us to live in harmony with each other. Therefore we must be aggressive in watching out for the pitfalls that often occur in organizations of our size.
You guys are a great group and I am proud to call you my family.
It is with great pride and amazing joy that I can make the following announcement....
Friday we will send our first Raid Team into Karazhan. Quantam and the guild leaders have been working out a system to ensure our success as a guild. There are not many guilds in the world attempting this raid. We should be proud of our brothers and sisters who have put in the time and effort to blaze this trail for us. I also want to ensure you we, as leadership, are making every effort to make this raid available to as many people as we can.
We are working out the details as far as scheduling. We hope to have more information for you very soon.
I beg for your patience in this manner. It is very easy for "loot greed" to jump into the mix and people to feel left out. It is the desire of every officer to make sure raiding does not become dividing factor in this guild. There are many who want to raid and there are many who do not. Let us please respect each other and talk thru any issue that come up in a fair and honest way.
Again, I thank you for the honor of being your guild leader. I covet your prayers and all the time you put into Redeemed to make it the greatest guild I have had the privlidge of being in.
<sorry for the wall of text>
