I am posting this from an iPhone!

Look up a few posts.

So, he used one...

Can a store let you do that?

I know when people play the new consoles; X-box 360/Wii/PS3, they only have a limited time before the clerk tells your time is up.

I remember before at Toys"R"us, there was Yoshi's Island, playable on the SNES and there was a long line up just to play it, full of kids. (It was a new release at that time)

Yeah, there was a great story story about when office X came out. A guy walked into an apple store with his ipod, plugged it into the Mac, and copied the office file to his ipod...then walked out with $500 of stolen software.

That is what is sweet about apple software, no licenses to keep down somewhere, no activation, no BS when you just want crap done.

yeah...and no shotgun installs. Everything goes to one folder.....maybe two. no registry

simple, easy

You can place the applications anywhere, that is the beauty. a .app is basically a nifty folder containing the executable, libraries, etc. XCode is really nice too, I've messed around with it enough just to get used to it and love how it outputs an application all packaged and pretty. It's similar to microsoft's VS packager but it doesn't require an installer.

now my final questions... is....

How easy is it to use? is it too simple (in an attempt to make it possible for everyone to use? or is it to complex (that you actually have to read the manual to understand how to use it)?

AND

How is the GPS? Accurate? weak? Is teh mapping system good or overstated (because i've heard it will tell you about random restaurants around... or things of that sort if you ask it)?

I love my ipod, but I had a treo for a long time, simply because at the time it was the only phone that linked with outlook. I do need a phone that keeps my shedule too, I've got too much stuff going on not to have that at my fingertips.

That being said, when the pantech phone came out with verizon, I finally had a small flip phone that would link my schedule with outlook, fantastic!. I don't really miss the days of the huge old phone either in my pocket or on that hideous belt-clip.

To me the most important and exciting cell feature on the market now is t-mobiles phone that goes from wi-fi to cell. If you are in range of a wi-fi you make your calls via VOIP, when yer not in range, it functions like a normal cell phone. I'm waiting for verizon to come out with this, but it will likely require me getting a new phone (bleh)

Yeah, that's cool stuff. Too bad it's t-mobile though. Good news is that VoIP Cell phones will be coming out in force. AT&T with be a huge player. As well as Verizion. Cell phones will have to have dual antennas. One for cellular, the other for wifi. Some of the PDA/smartphones are all ready capable, and will just need a software patch or upgrade.
