FOOD AGAIN!!!!!!

We would have had pineapple, but it turned bad. Mom did bring all 6-8 dozen leftover cookies Christmas Eve, and there are only 2 of us to wade through them. Which brings up the question. Would you freeze some for later or try to get through all of them in a week?

I'm diabetic so I can eat so many at a time, especially with gourmet chocolate available also. And what is a good food choice for New Years day?

When I was a teen I LOVED bologna and grape jelly on white bread. Now I don't eat any of those items...but I do remember the awesomeness of the combo.

Sounds like an icky combo, now here's one for ya that ya can has as a vegan.

Peanut Butter and Onions.

Actually I learned it from my Dad, don't do it often though, creates terrible Dragon Breath. Let's go out to eat, inexpensive, and where meatatarians and vegans can both find a healthy meal.

Subway

We get the veggie delight w/ just about everything in the veggie tray, and don't forget the sweet onion sauce.

Speaking of Subway, how many of us miss the old bread (before they had 20 different kinds) and the old way of cutting it? I remember an add from the '80s or early '90s where they made a big deal out of how the bread was cut because they did it differently than anyone else.

Also, if I want a baked sub, I will go to a pizzeria or Cuzinos. Mind you I like their subs (BMT FTW!) but I don't like some of the changes they've made over the years.

I had forgotten all about the way they cut the bread! I remember it now that you bring it up though. I like the new bread fine though. But I only ever choose the wheat or the honey oat. Can you still get it "deli style"? I used to choose the round bread because it was enough for me and cheaper.

Subway is alright but if I go there it's usually a matter of convenience. Because for everything they have that I like okay, there's another place that will do it better.

I think about that EVERYTIME I get a subway sub. I even asked once and they looked at me like I was from mars

I usually just get the honey oat or wheat at Subway too. I hated the way they used to cut the bread. The Subways here would cut a wedge so narrow that there was nothing to keep the meat and veggies in. I stopped going until they changed things around a few years ago. For $4 I can get a healthy six inch sub and a drink for lunch. It's way healthier and cheaper than any other fast food place and I've lost over 40 pounds so far.
