But I don't like MMOs...
We all have that friend(s). Someone who has never really gotten into the whole MMO thing. Usually if they are gamers they want to stick with FPS or RTS and in comparison most MMOs have been too slow and had too much story for them to get involved. Along comes Guild Wars 2. This game has the potential to break away from the traditional slower pace and grind commonly found in MMOs. With inspiration for game speed from FPS and the new need for tactical precision found in RTS GW2 is offering a much larger number of gamers a unique and fun experience. You may be tempted to invite your FPS/RTS only friends to jump in and play GW1 so they can have access to all the goodies in the Hall of Monuments but I suggest restraint. GW1 and GW2 are two completely different games. If you want to win them over to your genre you will need to show off the best it has to offer. Right now, no game can even smell what GW2 is cooking. So be patent. Wait for GW2 to release when you can give them another one of you free 10 day trial keys. In the mean time share this video with them. If they are hardcore gamers they will appreciate the amount of passion and unique style Anet is bringing to their newest game.

I'm on a Guild Wars 2 media blackout since I want to know as little about the game as possible before release, but I'm going to call dibs on a 10-day trial key now.

I sure hope my PC can play GW2. I don't even care if it's on minimal settings. GW is so awesome... and GW2 looks amazing last I checked.

...and that was months ago. :O

I'm with ya Tek. I've been trying to stay away from most GW2 videos. I'll read the updates Elhanan gives us on the GW forums, but until I get a release date I don't think my little heart can take all the suspense.

I do think I should start saving up for my uber-collector-special-box-director's-pre-order-first-edition-holographic package too.. Because GW2 is the only game I would do that for.

Go go Ewok for promo!! =D

Hey! She was on Dr. Horrible! And Eureka! Wikipedia has her listed doing stuff for Dragon Age and GW2 as "Zojja." I'm assuming that's an Asuran name?

Can I get some special reward in GW2 for having read Ghosts of Ascalon?

Edit: Mr. Blum is an amazing voice actor. He's been pretty much everyone awesome ever. Including Spike (Cowboy Bebop), Wolverine, and... uhm... everything else. :P

Waitwaitwait, Felicia Day was on Eureka?

/me checks IMDB

OH WOW IT'S TRUE.

I just finished the first season on Netflix. It looks like she doesn't join the cast until late in season 4.

If this game ends up being all you claim it is, I might have to break my "no buying games" rule. I think its been close to 2 years since I've bought any games.

Funny, I've been watching Eureka on Netflix as well. Didn't watch it when it was on television, but I was always curious. I think it's pretty good. My wife just rolls her eyes. :D

I haven't been keeping up much with GW2 info. I don't want to have a great deal of knowledge before the game comes out. I want to be surprised. I know some things though such as the 7 of 8 professions released thus far and a few game mechanics. I'll even avoid PAX this year.
