Ultima Avatar this is possibly the most enraging post I've ever read on these forums. I'm really trying not to say much because I could easily give an innapropriate response while I'm this mad. Let me just say that it's people who say things like that, like you, who give Christianity a bad name.[b said:Quote[/b] ]Look at us: we were fine until we were infiltrated by the queer. Is that because of a lack of education or contraception? No. It's because we want it.
Do I need to be black to be offended by the Ku Klux Klan?[b said:Quote[/b] ]why are you so offended, anyway? are you gay?
Faulting homosexuals for AIDS is irresponsible and bigoted. It's a total myth that gay men carry AIDS, that certainly isn't true nowadays. The disease is caused by sharing most bodily fluids with another person (blood, semen, etc...), it's spread just as easily from man to woman as from man to man. Drug needles are often unsterilized and passed from person to person, thus sharing eachother's blood, you are right about that. Although it doesn't matter that the drugs are illegal, it doesn't even matter whats in the needle, its spread through the sharing of blood.[b said:Quote[/b] ] So you know: I might have AIDS because Great-great-great Grandpa Bob was a tad odd.
AIDS is also caused by IV injections of certain (illegal) drugs, and you know: is stored through the bloodstream and in bodily secretions, such as semen, which, for some odd reason, carries with it life. So you know, that's how AIDS gets spread around: gays and needles.
The phrase "Infiltrated by the queer" is vicious and condescending. As if they are some sub-human enemy of us "normal" folk. As if you can just blame and stereotype an entire group of people like that for a terrible disease, when it isn't even true is ignorant and offensive. Even if you don't see it, I'm glad other people who read it do.[b said:Quote[/b] ]What's so outrageous about my post? Was it the word "Queer"? Should I go and say "Gay" or "Homosexual"? Tell me: where did I slip?
