Any regrets

But I was thinking about it and no christian would ever post on the thread that they would have any regrets since it would be questioning their faith in public, and it might effect their toj membership.

You know, actually I would be inclined to say that any Christian who is willing to be transparent would be willing to honestly answer the question. And in turn, if there were regrets, would probably share it. The point though is that while there are challenges, many of us, move in a direction of improvement and can look back at where we were and see improvements.

Many believers come to a point in there relationship with God where they may question Him or even be angry with Him. But we also know that He works all things for the good of those who believe.

He works all things for the good of those who believe.

I always wonder y is it when something good happens to a christian he says he was blessed because of his faith in christianity. Yet if something good happens to a non religious person its was just luck.

Not likely a non-religious person will attribute it to God, is it?

So by saying god blessed me with say a finding a job. Would that be more the person trying to justify their faith, because god also blessed the guy who doesn't believe in him a job too.
its the same as Tom Cruse saying that scientology helped him get where he is. It could of just been pure luck, but to justify his beliefs he credits it to scientology.

I think there is a misconception here. I believe whole heartily that when I was a non believer I had the favor of God. . Gandhi (One of my favorite peeps of all time) ( The real one, thou I am sure your a nice person too :) )

Anyway I believe that God does show his favor to non believers. I am sure God Shows High Favor to those who are obedient to his word. This is True and in the Bible. But lets say Gandhi gets a dream Job, and 20 years from not he has massed a small empire. If he choose to come to the Lord. He would see how God blessed him trough out his life. If he choose not to it would be his choice. God still blessed him.

God is not respecter of persons. Weather me, GP, SA, Marcylene or DV, Eon, or Gandhi. What does happen in the spiritual realm that does effect the physical world is those that obey the word of God, walk in the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. The favor of the Lord is more prevalent in their lives, through their obedience.

If you want think of it like this, I practice Akidio, My brother practices with me, but also every free minute he has, he is doing something to prefect his actions, reactions and techniques.

My free time is between ministry, school, Prayer, work and a new business.
Now my brothers techniques are more fluid and grace full than mine, he has been obedient to the art. More obedient than I have. So when he practices his techniques are more powerful.

The same with prayer, and the spiritual realm. Christians are not he only ones who understand it. The world is full of religions who understand spiritual realities. But my prayers have never come back unanswered, or lack of results. Some I still wait on, but I see and feel God working.

We all have the same potential for Favor from GOD. Not just believers, but the more obedient to Gods word we are the more favor we will experience.

Too quickly expand what MA said:

As a parent, I don't withold why my children need when they are misbehaving and rebelling against me.

Same with God. God still provides for those who rebel against him.

Do the obedient get more? Yes. I rebellious child will have computer privilages removed but will keep a roof over their head. An obedient child will be granted more computer privilages (he will gain the time the rebellious child has lost) and will also keep a roof over his head.

Sry to start this up again but I was just watching tv and sometimes in the morning there is this old guy on tv that talks about the bible and answers letters. Well he had a letter about exodus and the sins of the farther being passed on to the son.... well thats a different topic but his words were "Y would god waist his time on some brat who doesn't believe in him, it wouldn't be right to his children who believe in him." He said its in the first commandment, to not believe in him is a sin and y would god waist his time on sinners.
Now I personally think the guy is alittle weird and wonder how he has so many viewers sending him mail and asking him questions.

Kind of hard to believe in someone that won't let you use the cognitive capacity in the brain he put in your head to figure out if he exists or not.

I do not think so, it makes sense actually if you bring all three aspects into bear

Spirit

Soul

Flesh

But then , if you do not believe, I could see where that could challenge you!

I guess its like having all your senses to examie something, (Sight, sound, Touch, Hearing Smell)

YOu are trying to find out what God is by only your Flesh, You are so much more than that.

Actually it doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

You say it's like having all your senses to examine something, but you are talking about the supernatural, which by definition, is "of or relating to an order of existence beyond the visible observable universe".

We are physical beings, we set ourselves apart from other animals by the use of our cognitive capabilities, our logic and reason. How a logical being can embrace something unexplainable and untestable AND CLAIM IT'S REAL is beyond me.
