a spec in testing

in teh past few days , ive been examing and working with a spec known as the dreamstate healing spec. after 3 days and a kara raid using this spec , i have concluded that this is a raid viable spec because of the mana regen increases from teh dreamstate abiity itself combined with the 30% mana regen during fight from teh resto tree makes it where you could possibly never run out of mana. like all specs , there are a few draw backs to it , the most common one being you lack the punch of the last few talents of teh resto tree . also , you morely likely to place lower on the healing scale using this type of spec.

this is what i have discovered so far with my use of such a spec and there will be more research into this spec by myself within teh next few weeks but i would also like to hear from you , the guild members of redeemed and what think about this spec and how it can be improved within itself. it will greatly help my research to have a basic background of what you think of such a spec. here is teh current spec i am using and will continue to use with afew alterations soon.

I have also heard about the value of a dreamcast healing spec. I have been using something close to the same spec to lvl up with. Mine is more focused on the balance tree right now since at my level the resto traits aren't as useful for questing. Its nice to hear that it works well in raiding. Wanting to be a raid healer, I always figured that I would have to respec to full resto but maybe I won't have to.

I haven't found much use for improved nature's grasp though. But for a raid healer I am not sure if there is a better option.

the improved natures grasp is pretty useless when it comes to healing but its main function is for use outside raids for questing/doing dailys which is why i have i put 1 point in moonkin.

dps caster/offheal

Here's my two cents,
We've been running kara with three healers pretty consistently, for the past month as long as I have been running it. What about 2.5 healers? As I leveled up my druid balance, I know the destructive potential of the spec. Considering that you've put 34 points into balance, I would almost consider running more of a dps role, and play offheals when needed. The lasting mp5 would hold out for longer casting (something that OOMkins are not known for), which could also leave a innervate available for those times when a healer is in dire need of it. This is something to discuss with the raid leaders, as they might not see much of a need for the hybrid role, but I've found that going resto ToL is much more effective for all out healing druids.

That being said, I think there is much more potential for you to roll dreamstate if you are looking to run 5 mans...although i didn't read up a lot on it...i did see that mentioned in a few WOW forums regarding the spec.

Hope this provides some potential feedback, keep in mind I'm no expert on speccing...

most druids arent experts on specing but this was very solid feedback. i current have no caster gear but if i was needing to get some , i could go run a few instences and pick up the pieces. dpsing as moonkin is difficult because of mana regen issue but your right in saying that i could go oomkin and hold mana pretty well.

tree , im being serious here . this a spec that can be made useable but in order to prove that , i need feedback from those who care to want to be running witha druid of this spec. i know you all care what spec a class is and how they are speced it effects a raid in general.

Hehe, ok, here is my honest feedback. It might be kind of cool in the 5 mans, and MAYBE Kara, but you're missing a few key talents in the Balance tree for maximum DPS, and you're missing a bunch of talents in the resto tree, including Tree of Life.

In the end, you won't be good at DPS or Healing. (But your dps will be stronger than your healing for sure) As you progress through endgame content, the moonkin have a harder and harder time keeping up on DPS. I spent around 10K gold on Treebranchs boomkin gear, and he's fairly leet, but i can't produce anywhere near the damage of either of my shaman.

It might be good to talk to Wall, he's the best boomkin i know. He's usually in the top 5 dps on 25 man raids. I might be doing something wrong. :D

i didnt expect much feedback but after seeing what feedback i was given , ive decided to end this little experiment . this wont be teh end of the dreamstate spec for me but tree has made it clear that this spec has no place among the great raiding spec. for now i am staying dreamstate until i am needed for a raid , only then will i switch back to full resto. makes me sad to think i even tried this in the first place.

Blame Blizzard ::) I'm still trying to hang onto the last bit of healing utility on Julienne, in the face of a horribly misplaced talent that pushes most of us into 8-point prot...
