a spec in testing

Blame Blizzard ::) I'm still trying to hang onto the last bit of healing utility on Julienne, in the face of a horribly misplaced talent that pushes most of us into 8-point prot...

Well if blizzard sticks with the combat rating changes you could have alot more spell crit then you currently have. That's about the only thing that will be getting better for the true hybrid lovers.

i didnt expect much feedback but after seeing what feedback i was given , ive decided to end this little experiment . this wont be teh end of the dreamstate spec for me but tree has made it clear that this spec has no place among the great raiding spec. for now i am staying dreamstate until i am needed for a raid , only then will i switch back to full resto. makes me sad to think i even tried this in the first place.

Don't be sad! You went against the grain and learned something from it. That in itself is value and you should be happy for trying something new.

Also I plan on using a hybrid of that spec until I am ready to raid too. I can see its value but have to agree with the experienced druids seeing as I have no experience :P

When WotLK debuts I think you'll find more hybrid specs used versus the typical cookie-cutter specs you see now, especially with the introduction of the Death Knight which from what I've seen will be able to do everything almost.

Yeah, no worries Brug! I spent like 3,000g crafting a 2h hammer for treechop. All the forums said 2handers are FTL for enhancement shaman, but I went for it. (And failed misrably) But it was fun! And it's actually a lot of fun in PVP. :D

Point being, if you're not a "hardcore" raider, you should do whatever makes you happy! We pay too much for this game to not have fun! :D

yeah man, I still think it's a rad spec, if I hadn't had soo many bad experiences of respeccing (to farm, solo, etc, where i forgot to pick up the needed talents, and blew waaay too much gold) I would try that spec out, considering that I love moonkin so much...keep up the progression, if you get more thoughts on it, please let me know, cause i'd love to hear more viable healing/farming/soloing/dailies specs, gear, etc...

I hope this has been an enriching experiment, I'd hate for you to feel as if you got shot down by us guildies. :o

i havent been. i know that it has been a unique for me being able to cast and heal without having to go into any specific form. its just blizzard doesnt like hybrids for some reason. but dont think im ending this experiment there, my next test involves putting teh 27 points in feral and seeing the max capabilitys of that.

You just blew my mind.

what blew your mind tree? teh fact that im a going to not stop till i have proven my point or have failed elsewise? or the fact that i knew that dreamstate works with feral too

how does dreamstate work with feral? Dreamstate regens mana, but feral is based on energy/rage? Does dreamstate regen energy/gain rage faster too???

You've piqued my interest/curiosity even more now brug...
