Frozen Synapse is a game I have had my eye on since its release. It has been well reviewed and now there is a demo and it is 50% on Steam for the weekend. Not sure I will buy (12.50 is still a bit more than I want to pay for it), but I just downloaded the demo and about to take it for a spin. :)...

I know my wife would appreciate a low violence mode. She likes FPS's, but was initially turned off by the amount of gore in TF2.

My son and I have been playing Cortex Command for the last 4 days. It is a blast co-op, split-screen. The funniest moments are watching the different ways your guys can die. :)

You may want to check out the Humble Indie Bundle 3. My son just picked that up and we been having an absolute blast with Cortex Command. It plays 2-player via split screen. He uses mouse and keyboard; I use Wii Classic Controller Pro.

@silverleaf thanks for the WoW recommendation. We pulled the trigger and bought the game. It now includes the first expansion and 30 days, so it was like getting the game for $5.

Hi All, My family (wife and 11 year old son) is big into both board games and console/PC games. We are considering attending Gen Con Indy this year, for the first time. Has anyone gone? Was it worth the time and expense? What did you spend your time doing? Thanks.
