Faith without works came to mind when I posed this question but I felt the need for input, and what I'm hearing and learning is that we as followers of Christ tend to focus on the sin more so than the sinner and of course we can't eliminate sin but we can direct the sinner to the One who can. Lol I guess I can cast my picket sign with the rest of the lot into a fiery pit and convict!
Soz casinos are ok just that we should tax them moar. And they should be forced to do what cigarette companies are doing in the developed world. Health warning on label. Warnings should be plastered all over the place. That way, no one can claim 'I didn't know'.
For what it's worth, I agree with you that this would seem the trend. Still, I went to a casino a year-ish ago. I wandered the floors and stuck with penny slots. I gave myself five bucks to play with. It lasted me a few hours of entertainment. When I started playing poker online (with play money), the idea of playing with allowance came up. I asked friends/family, and they thought I was nuts. So I turned to the word of God, and came up with nothing. No where do I see it outlawed. Personally I see it as entertainment if done in moderation, because $5 playing penny poker can go a lot further than it does at the movies.
Of course, there's the argument of whether or not it is controlling you and becoming a big deal. There's also the question of is it wise to mess around with something that might become a problem.
Casinos tend to be pretty deplorable. Everyone knows the odds are against them; no warning label would help with that. People go because of their greed and hopes of making it big.
Things tend to be very risque there, the games are set up to bleed you dry quickly, and drunk folks are everywhere. I checked the local ones here (tons of them on the "sacred" Indian land!) and none of the poker tables had less than $100 buy in. That's a good chunk of change to blow, if you ask me. Too rich for my blood!

And a truckload of complimentary fountain drinks.
I got more than five bucks worth of entertainment and tasty (non-alcoholic) drinks there. Not saying "everyone should enjoy casinos" or anything like that. Just sayin' that I've enjoyed it in a way that I really can't call immoral.
Gambling has left Vegas and landed in our heartland via Bingo casino's and it's presence is being felt. I need food to approach and convict in wisdoms way. What does God say about this?

Jesh man oh man you nailed me almost as fast as Christ! To cast lots in with those whom cast lots for Christ Clothing wow Nailed my thought! Blood stained clothes from a man tortured. Hmm All I had to do is ask and my whole life got covered with out a penny wagered by just giving me all in. I have been to the local casino's and hehehe i love the buffet and free soda's and set limits upon myself to lose hehehe a minimal amount of mola. But while I am there sucking down a soda or gourging on prime rib how does one witness lol tough spot huh? Jesus says be with the sick ok so me is there what next? Instinct or heart says just don't go there to begin with and I have not since I posed the question.
