So today was the big reveal for the big big project from LucasArts and BioWare:
Star Wars: The Old Republic.
My patience for finding tidbits of good information and pasting the proper quote tags, sources, credits etc is waning tonight, so I'll just stick with the basic info and some links.
I find myself sorely disappointed that they took this route with this series, and I honestly think it's doomed to fail, especially if no console version (which would be awful unless some sort of cross-platform agreement was worked out....I know...yeah, right). I just...don't....know. I'm not sure really how all this is going to work as far as gameplay and storytelling, but I'm setting the bar very low. I really don't like playing games online all that much, and if I were to have to (1) play online and were required to play with other people who I probably don't know to get anywhere or (2) pay monthly fees for more of the KOTOR universe's story (shut it, I loved 2, it was great
) I might cry. Really. I'm almost there now.

I don't read any other game blogs or news sites than Kotaku usually so that's all I've got for now.

- Events occur something like three centuries after KOTOR 2
- It will have a story, and will encompass "KOTOR 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12"...whatever that means.
- "You can play as the good guy in the bad place trying to do good things or the bad guy in the good place trying to do bad things,"
- It's scheduled for a PC release only as of yet...BOO
