Wii: Super Paper Mario and Mario Party 8 Dated

Is the Sonic game the creepy one? You know, where he falls in love with the human girl, and she falls in love back? *shudders*

I'll be interested in seeing all the cool things with Mario Party 8 and the new controllers. Although, I've never been a fan of the series in the past.

I'm trying to convince my girlfriend to get a Wii and give it to me while she's at college in DC :-P but alas, she claims she's too poor.

Yeah, I know he's an animal, but I definitely saw previews where he was dancing with some girl in the meadow holding hands and ugg...

[...] and Mario Party 8 is launching March 5, 2007.
I've played a few Mario Party games and, while they're fairly fun, winning or losing relies far too much on random chance. This, of course, means that Elihu, my best friend and better known in the World of Warcraft community as Fjorboug of Redeemed, wins. Every time.

But I may still see if I can score a cheap rental or buy it used in a year or two.

Still have mixed feelings on this one. I still hold that Sonic 2 was the best game in the series; Sonic didn't make the transition to 3D as well as other famous video game icons that shall remain unnamed.

I wish it didn't cost like $8 to rent a Wii game at Blockbuster. Blockbuster ftl. Here's hoping BB goes bankrupt or bought out by Netflix.

Rock on. If they release a less expensive edition that doesn't come packaged with a Wii Remote, I'll likely pick this one up (if only for the Billiards game). Push comes to shove, I can buy the game with Remote and sell the Remote.

[...] and recent releases such as WarioWare: Smooth Moves
I just wanted to pipe in and say: WarioWare: Smooth Moves rocks. I bought it two days after release and loved it. My only complaint is that the game doesn't include more simultaneous (more than one player playing at a time) multiplayer modes.

[...] us Wii owners aren't getting it too bad. =)
And don't forget about the recently released News Channel, which also rocks. w00!

PS. Mario Kart 64 is coming to Virtual Console on Monday.
I literally squealed with delight when I read this. No lie. My wife was in the other room and can confirm.

we got smooth moves the day it came out and it is totally awesome.

we like to play bungee buddies....that is our favorite multiplayer on smooth mvoes....

we are looking forward to wii play...funny thing the toys r us here had a presell of the game saying that it would be in stores sometime between 1/17-1/31...

Bwah? How'd you score free rentals?
At GameCrazy, they give you one free rental at Hollywood Video for a whole year when you buy a game system. So over the years I have collected quite a few of these coupon sheets. (They're only good for the year it was issued + next year, and this coupon expired at the end of January '07.)

I went to go rent Elebits for January, and Hollywood Video had a promotion: rent one, get one free. The first one was already free, so that means I got two game rentals for $0.00. =)
