I'm going to drop out of this because honestly, I don't live the life you guys and I wouldn't want to. Seriously, if 250G transfer isn't enough for you and 60G is too much for me, all I'm saying is obviously I spend less time in front of the computer on the internet then you all. And I like it that way.

actually i don't spend that much time on the net. Your statement smacks of assumption and presumption both of which can be easily repudiated. m-f i have a 10-16 hour work day OUTSIDE the house. I barely have time to check my e-mail for my business much less anything else. The weekend are when I setup my machines..plural..do do their updates, that's when i download any updated distros or large updates i need to do..that's when i turn on my pandora audio stream when i am cleaning the house or doing whatever chores around the house i have to do..plus when i am home during this or any other time the streaming audio works great for background music for my children during family time or justt daddy and children time.

In short before you start saying things like "all I'm saying is obviously I spend less time in front of the computer on the internet then you all. And I like it that way." you may want to ask a few questions of ANYONE you are addressing in the thread before you go making such deragatory and obviously misinformed statements like the one metnioned above.

I obviously careless choose the wrong words and I am sorry for that.

It is obvious you spend more time on the internet then I and I much perfer my life not being hooked to this medium as tightly as yours are. I manage to live on 60G of transfer and honestly, I didn't realize it until I looked into it today when I saw this thread so I was not deliberatly keeping it down becasue of some known ceiling.

So far, I watch movies on DVD, not streamed. I listen to music on the radio, not streamed. My cable package comes with 40 digital music stations without commercials so if I want to listen to music without interuption like when I'm entertaining, I listen to that. I watch tv, not some streamed source of it.

For the record, I usually spend about 15 minutes per week day online and maybe an hour or two on the weekend. My family comes first and if I can afford the online time, then I will enjoy it, but if not..... On occasion, I work from home and am connected to my office for at least 8 hrs.

The point is, if Comcast really had their act together, I might feel differently about the cap, but given the poor way the company is run, having this cap is just another nail in the poor customer service coffin.

How is the company run that is poor? Is it an issue of bad policies or front line people not following the policies?

What unresolved issues do you have with Comcast that you have taken to a third party to help get resolved?

Are you counting resolved issues in the past against them? I know its bad to get an unexpected charge on your bill, but if it was reversed, are you holding that against them?

Have you thought about becoming a shareholder so you can have your say on how the company is managed at the top level?

Do you truly have no other options in your area for you? I didn't know there was other options other then the cable company and phone company for my area until I actually researched it today. I can't imagine any part in the USA where there is actually less competition then in my city in Canada.

---

I went to the Comcast website, I can't see where they promised the stars much less the moon or the sky. So I would like a link to where they promise you 100% of their bandwidth and not just a share or access to their bandwidth.

I checked out the BBB on Comcast Cablesystems, I assume its the same company. They seem to have resolved most if not essentially all the outstanding issues between them and clients that have been brought up by the BBB. And there were alot of listing, I admittedly only checked up on two of them. Is there a better source for how they are actually performing on complaints?

GP/goblit..the BBB is not a good judge of hte customer service we get. Also with you being in canada you are asking questions you can't possibly know the answers to. Your questions aren't relevant and don't seek to further the cause of this thread.

Don't ask questions, and you publically blast me.

Ask questions, and you publically blast me.

The point of this thread is:

Discuss! (I think it has been before, but I don't think this has been officially announced before)

If you don't want me to discuss because I'm Canadian then do me the honour of telling me how to block out this section of the forums so I don't have to see it when I log on.
