Hi everyone!

Derived Class here. I'm a dedicated Xbox gamer and budding Dreamcast homebrew developer. I'm glad there is a Christian gamers site, as Ive considered creating one for some time now.

I'm looking for other Xbox Live players who like to play PSO (legit players - I dont hack!), ESPN NFL 2K4, PGR2, many others.

Also, if there are any C programmers out there (I am a programmer by trade) who want to talk about creating games for the Dreamcast, sent me a PM anytime. Another friend and I are considering building a homebrew based on the Quake 2 engine.

I spend most of my time at www.grownupgamers.com (I am also a forum moderator there for Phantasy Star Online). Pop over and tell them DC sent you.

Anyway, I hope to hear from all of you soon. Thanks!

w00t Dreamcast! One of these days, I will most definitely own a Dreamcast...but first, I need a TV (or a video card with a video in feature).

If you ever had any DC games you want someone to burn and test, you just let me know. Two of my friends have Dreamcasts and I've burned a few import games to CD for them to try out. Ikaruga, anyone? *g*

As for Tolkien's XBox clan, it's been absorbed into ToJ as our latest chapter. You can find more information here.

*Wonders if Tek's comment was posted before or after I told him I got "us" a Dreamcast on eBay.* By "us," I mean "me." At least until he has a TV.

I was thinking it, but I wasn't going to say it without your approval. :-) I suppose I can share my TV when we're married. :-D

*hug* I think everyone knows by now. After all, I do mention you at nearly every turn.

(For those who didn't know, Ember is Erin, my girlfriend and future fiancee and wife.)

*cough* Anyway. Sorry to hijack the thread. Welcome to the forums, Derived Class. Please enjoy your time here and let me know if there's anything I can do to help you promote any of your projects. Feel free to e-mail me any time at tek7 AT cgalliance DOT org.

Own Marvel vs Capcom 2, Dynamite Cop, Sega Rally 2, AeroWings, Quake 3 Arena and Silent Scope.

Hi everyone... thanks for the replies.

Corpfox - there are several free, semi-private servers available for Q3Arena... I'll have to find you the link. Im trying to get a PSO v2 server going myself.

Got 2 more DC's in the mail yesterday from EBGames. 40 bucks. Absolutely cannot beat that. Ones for a friend (heh Ember/Tek - my wife isnt interested in my gaming hobbies), the other is for modding. Ive managed to replace the LED for the power indicator but my soddering was terrible so I need to redo it, along with some painting and perhaps cut an acrylic pane into the CD lid.

I just got my mitts around a copy of Jet Coaster Dream 2.

Its import only. Roller Coaster Tycoon/Theme Park type game. Its outstanding.

Other imports I play include gunbird2, Psyvariar2 (I love the fact that the DC has awesome shooters - something that my beloved Xbox SORELY lacks in), some others I cant think of right now.

Hey, I replied to your PM and you know this, but I'm also an Xbox (and PSO) gamer.

...and I'm also learning programming right now (specifially C++ at the moment), and would love to learn more about developing homebrew stuff for the Dreamcast. It'll be nice to be able to put my old Dreamcast to use again.

I'll check out your site, and if you'd like to take a look at it, my site can be accessed at http://www.outsidexbox.net for 36 more days. After 36 days, you'll need to access it at http://www.airforcefun.com/outsidethebox

(I decided not to renew the domain name)
