XBox 360

I've just begun to consider buying an XBox 360 with my tax return. So I have two major questions. The first is for those who own the system already. What do you think of it (and be honest)? And the second is for anyone. Where can I get the premium (wireless controller, hard drive, etc.) system right now?

This should answer your second question. =)

Xbox 360s should be hard to find until June, according to the latest reports. Another factor you may want to consider is the PS3. If it does indeed release this fall in the US as is assumed, there are many who have speculated that the price of the Xbox 360 will be cut.

Oh, and Microsoft removed the Universal Media Remote from the Premium package, so you'll have to purchase that seperately....assuming you can find a 360.

For the benefit of future responses, I'm not questioning whether the XBox 360 is better than the PS3 or whether the price is too high right now. I simply want to know what owners think of the system. Thanks.

Uh, right.

I didn't compare the Xbox 360 and PS3 with each other, and I was merely pointing out that a price drop was speculated. I didn't say it was too much money, I just merely stated that the Xbox 360 could see a price drop this fall.

Which is probably about the time you'll be able to find a non-bundled premium system, so I guess I shouldn't have suggested it.

I wasn't trying to be rude, but I'm a big believer in answering a question. You didn't answer my question at all, but rather suggested alternatives and mentioend things that I'm already well aware of. I prefer responses to address the topic at hand. Just keeps thing simpler.

I got to play on an xbox 360 during thanksgiving and I really liked it alot. My future son-in-law had one. The graphics were awesome and the game play on COD was really good. The controller was to my liking also. The two joy sticks worked. Most of the time they don't do what I think they should but these two worked. The racing game I played was really fun too. The cars handled really well. Most of the time in other games your wrecking and not driving. I thought the xbox 360 handled that game style really good.
I almost got to buy one but was disappointed in the end.
Go to Walmart and try the xbox 360 out.

Well, that reminds me. A friend of mine did bring over his Xbox 360, and I think it rocks. We rented CoD2, and that is probably one of the best console games I've ever played. Excellent sound, graphics, etc... the whole package.

It came out in beautiful High-Def, too, which looks excellent. Even the Dashboard (err, the Guide), looks really nice in HD. Speaking of the Guide, it seems like Microsoft finally figured that whole thing out. It's all very crisp and clean, and it functions nicely, too. =P

Anyway, if I had $400 to drop, I'd definitely get an Xbox 360.

is that Big Red One? I might get that for GameCube after price drops.. also battalion wars, once i find out what it actually is XD

Negative, Call of Duty 2 for the Xbox 360. I think CoD 2 and CoD2:BRO are different. =)
