Tim Hortons is pretty much exclusively Canadian. There may be one or two in the NE states bordering Ontario, if any. Tim Horton was a famous hockey player, even had his jersey retired by the Buffalo Sabres, born and raised Canadian and the only thing as famous or more so then his career was his one car accident that ultimately ended his life. His legacy continues on in the restaurant and donut shop that he started and bears his name "Tim Hortons." Every year, all the shops across Canada participate in an event known as Tim Hortons Camp Day where all the proceeds from the coffee sales that day are used to fund the Tim Horton camps. The proceeds from this single day funds 13,000 kids annually.
