With two or three consoles how do you choose your games?

Okay now that I have settled into my Wii, 360, and PC (sorta, can't play a lot of the newer games on it)...anyways, so technically I have 3 game machines. My question is how do YOU choose which game to get next, I mean it seems this FALL/Winter there are A LOT of GOOD games coming out especially for the Wii and 360...so what is your method?

1) Will someone I know be picking it up for a certain console? (Bad Company 2 on PC compared to PS3, have more PC guys to play with)
2) What features will one console have over the other? (Batman: AA had more DLC for PS3 than 360)
3) Which controller do I think would feel more comfortable using? (Resident Evil 5 on consoles was sluggish, LOVED the PC aiming)
4) Is this a series I know and enjoy? First week/month purchase.
5) Is this a series or title I don't know? Check out a demo, pick it up used, or wait for a price drop.

I buy games only once they're cheap (unless we're talking Street Fighter). Then, I buy on the system that the version is cheapest unless there's a special reason to get it on one system over another. However, when at all possible, I prefer to keep game series on the same system. Don't have a particularly good reason for that; it's just the way it is for me.

But, ultimately, I buy the games I want most unless if I have reason to believe a price drop is probable in the relatively near future.

Unemployment makes it simple.

Is the game a sequel I've been waiting for for over a decade? If no, then do not purchase.

Done.

Once I'm working again, I'll probably still be thrifty with my game purchases, sticking to Steam sales for lesser known titles and favoring games with high replay value.

I'm gonna go with Tek on this one. I pretty much only go through Steam sales now. They don't have to be old games, but I find it a lot easier to purchase games on sale a little after than at full price when they are released.

Unless, of course, it's GW2. In which case I'll try and find the most expensive version out there, cause its worth it.

Depends on expectations.

If you are thinking you will get another game the next day, not so much.

My son has about a three or four day turn around. You have to plan well or get the two games at a time. Then you have one to play while one is in the mail.

Not to de-rail my own topic, BUT Kenny what happened to your "success" :D For those who don't know that was the name of the avatar he had before with the kid.
