Windows 8 and gaming peripherals

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on how to get Razer Synapse 2.0 to work on Windows 8. For what ever reason, probably USB drivers, it does not recognize my keyboard or mouse. Its irritating and I want to be lazy and not downgrade back to windows 7.

Ya hot fresh off the grill. The last I looked there was a deal from Microsoft that if you bought a comp from the right place, with Windows 7 home Premium, ya could get the Windows 8 upgrade for super cheap, like in the $45.00 USD range.

I've heard Win8 is geared more t'word the tablet user. /me loves his PC and will own one forever :D

This. I am very disappointed in what I saw in the previews (note that was months ago).

Everyone (including Apple) is gearing their computer OS to merge with their handheld OS. In this case, Win8 is supposed to be the same on your computer as it is on your Windows phone. The attraction for Windows (and Linux tho that took too much work) was the fact that you can tweek things under the hood so to speak. Back in the day, tweeking the Mac OS was much harder (thought I worked in IT at the time and was a Mac expert so I could usually) until OS X came out. Now OS X is supposed to be heading toward iOS.

I don't think I'll be jumping on the windows 8 wagon. I have no interest in it, and if you're a general pc user, I'd suggest against it.

I have an MSDN subscription and we got windows 8 on the 16th, as far as the OS goes I don't really like the interface, for tablets it will be fine but for desktops it is not all that great, DOWN WITH METRO. Otherwise it is fast and seems to run most stuff other than my mouse and keyboard macro software :(. I already removed it anyway.
