Tek probably lost his HDTV to a wiimote and has to order a new system just to get a new controller.
Yes, I do.
That statement is incorrect for three reasons:
- I can't afford a HDTV.
- There's not enough room in our apartment for a HDTV.
- I actually use the wrist strap, so I have yet to damage any objects in the apartment with a Wii Remote.
When I first pulled up the Toys R Us item page and saw the "Add item(s) to cart" button, I clicked it--just in case someone I know might want to buy a Wii. About 15 to 20 minutes after the item was marked as "Temporarily not available online," I was still able to purchase a Wii on behalf of my best friend (known on the forums as Elihu).

I picked one up last Sunday at a best buy, every Sunday they seem to get a decent sized stock in. I actually went in around two in the afternoon and they had a few dozen on the shelf. Though that's the first time I had ever seen one for sale that wasn't used since launch.

Id rather make my own games...orbit the newb pestering you for money, make your own weapon and test it on a friend, see if you can reverse engineer what someone else did. Hence my current game.

I don't have the network adapter yet - so I'm still offline. And until/unless I get a game that has those capabilities, I probably won't get one...

The wii had a wireless connection iirc, atleast my roommates did as he always begged for my wep and essid.

doh!! you're right - I must've misread the books when I was setting it up, because I thought I had to purchase the wireless adapter separately...

Who knows, I think my roommate was planning on buying an eth adapter but I told him I had a wireless network. I should've kept quiet because then I was serving up 3-5 different connections at any time...
I don't really care about consoles. They cost more money to use and get outdated and worthless within 5 years.

and THAT is why I bought a Wii. Frankly, as games become more and more online-oriented, they've become less and less fun for me. *shrugs* And with the rest of the gen-7 consoles, the new "features" are just higher polygons and prettier graphics.
