Why no one heals in PvP

Okay so I respeced to shadow priest yesterday. I have two days to compare- one with healing one with damage. And the results....

Healing Day-
Two runs in AB and one in AV, no killing blows so everything was bacially healing. 52 hk's and 1000 cp's,

Damage Day-
6 runs in AV, little to no healing, 15 killing blows, 152 hk's and 15000 cp's.
That is not a typo...

So, you now see why no one really heals in PvP. My "fun factor" went up 5 fold. I even had less deaths and more kills than stoop in a couple of AB runs.... And there is no way I am the quality of player he is.

So, I am shadow, get used to it world.....

Do you get HKs if you heal (aid) in a fight? If not thats (another) a rather blatant mistake...

If you are not in a group then all HK is based on damage you deal. If you heal someone and they kill something but our outside your group then no you get nothing.

If you are in a group the Honor gets split up equally between the group no matter who did the damage. So if you are soloing and healing the you are not going to get much, but in a good group healing is quite helpful.

People arent healing because they want the most points possible from every kill... If healing gave more Hks, then im dure every priest and druid out there would heal..

But in a group Honor points are split evenly among the group no matter if you did no damage or all the damage. If someone is soloing its one thing and is understandable that they do more damage then heal, but in a group where the points are split if you are the best healer, by all means please heal.

unfortunantly thats also why people arent defending in av..why defend when the masses are racking up hk and you and naother lonely druid sit by and follow each others shadow? lol

A very large note on the grouping thing...

I will get invited into an AB group, as a healing priest, 1 in 5 times.

The way that Dark Age of Camelot dealt with the healing issue in PvP was two fold. 1. You got some credit for passing out buffs (small but healers were major buffers unlike WoW). 2. You got big points for Rezing people (another thing that cannot be implemented in WoW without major changes).

Let's hope that in patch 1.10 (the patch after next) when they address the priest class this will be addressed along with balancing the class over all. But, for the next two months, this is what we have.

Its worse then we first thought, he's started into the Religious Discussion forums.

Bum Bum Buuuuuuum!!!!!

I hope you aren't dealing with that tangled web of <<insert your own colourful adjective here>> to up your post count.

Mabye people dont know that... i didnt until you said that. Or mabye they wanna deal damage. Or it might be because of the expiriment icthus did.... he got 5 times more CKs as a shadow priest than he did when he was healing as a non shadow priest.

you got rps for buffing?

i wasnt going to say anything BUT

IF your saying if Leget had conc buffs on a non grouped player, Leget would recieve a small amount of RPs that the "buff-leechmaster" farmed....he would not.
