There are a lot of up and coming White Lions in the guild. It's an exciting time! :eek:

Ilya, yours truly, has decided to make another phat video of what it is like as a White Lion(when the times are good). :cool:

I explain my build (tactics/abilities) in the beginning of the video.

Impressive, I didn't know you can go Lion-less. But your music needs more Kutless. :p
 
Loner looks pretty nice considering how often you are lion-less in RVR. Are the majority of scenarios open like that in T4? Might abandon the AOE abilities if it is.
 
I would guess that people clump in T4 scenarios fairly frequently, just not all the time.
It is not something I have ever paid attention to or noticed, since my White Lion is all about single target DPS.
 
Interesting. That was some nice DPS too.

Was that pounce you were using to go all Superman at your target?

I've been having serious commitment issues regarding what to make my "main", up until 5 minutes ago I was resigned to just make it my sm simply because she was the highest. but honestly ( and this will make me sound simple or lazy) I prefer to play a class that I don't have to memorize 10 different keystroke combinations.

nothing against people who can do it, I admire them. but for me, and one reason I loved my warrior in WoW, I went fury, and just spammed one or 2 keys and had a ball.

I have a wl who's lvl 14, and I noticed you could play them using very few keystrokes, but the pet (which i think looks amazing) was always a drawback, I didn't like having to keep up with him, or recast or command, and seeing you contribute without a pet has made me decide to make my wl my main.

now I still think the wl armor is one of the most drab and boring in game but hopefully they'll change that at some point.

couple of questions?

1. is that sct? if so was it hard to set up? I loved it in WoW but the lack of a gui controls has made me weary of trying it in War.

b.would you mind stating how you've spec'd? obviously you went hunter enought to get pack, do you go rest in axeman to boost your solo skills?

and firstly, wow i'm guessing you have a nice comp? I play on a dinosaur and with everything off, I can barely make it lol, I showed my wife and she was like "wow what are all those glowing things?" I had to explain that on my hunk o' junk I can't see the pretty effects. but I do get a new comp the first of the year.

Well Tath, thank you so much for the compliment.

Sometimes I press quite a few buttons, have most of them hot keyed to my mouse and keyboard.
But the majority of time in combat I rarely use more than 4-5 abilities.

Scrolling Combat Text, yes, it is. I use the curse client, with SCT as one of my addons:

It is really easy to set up, just download curse, then install SCT.
But if your machine is slow, it might be a bad idea.

Here is my 'recommended spec path':

I am not quite Rank 40 yet, but plan on staying 'Loner' specked until Rank 40.

Thanks for the info and links, and I forgot to mention the first time but you should play some TFK (thousand foot krutch) or Disciple in your next video :)
 
Ilya I have a question about sct, it's currently working fine for me, except the damage I do shows up above my head not the players, it gets annoying and I noticed from your videos it shows up above the player your attackings head, any suggestions?
 
I am pretty sure that the numbers show above my head, not the targets.
I will do some testing when I get a chance and let you know.
 
Just to be different.... AND because I am a sucker for the Lion....I am gonna try a different build. I have the most fun with that class by making sure that I am with my lion and we both stay alive. I realize this means that I am not gonna top DPS charts but I really am having fun with it. I am going to experiment with the builds until I can find a good build that supprts me with my Lion.

I watched your video again and the damage you do does show up above your target's head, not yours. On mine it shows up above mine and is soooo annoying. Can you take a look at your settings? do you have it loaded to a profile?

also when you look at outgoing damage does it say what frame is show's up in? mine is frame 3 but that's above me. I want the damage to show up above my target like normal.

At 30 with the cone axe attack, AE DOT and pounce I can now beat BWs in scenario damage and usually have the most solo kills too. I still think AOE is king in scenarios.
 
Odale, recommendation.

If you plan on going up the hunter tree, get Hack and Slash instead of Blade and Claw.
I have yet to use a Rank 4 Morale, it just does not happen... Rarely I get to use my Rank 3.
Hack and Slash is really good for spamming hack, since it makes the ability 15 action points.
