Which videogame platform do you want to learn more about at E3 2006?

The Electronic Entertainment Expo is a month and a half away, and it looks as though it's going to be huge. Nintendo (Revolution...or is it Go?) and Sony (Playstation 3) will be there in full force to show off their new consoles launching later this year. The Xbox 360 will see its second generation of titles coming out of the gates (including the super hyped Gears of War), and rumors are rampant that Halo 3 will show up in some form.

We may also see Vista exclusive Halo 2 for PC and more of Microsoft's plans to reinvigorate the PC gaming market (Give up on the dark side PC Gamers, there is only desolation to be found there, come join your console brethren!).

Of course there's also the PSP and Nintendo DS.

So what are you looking forward to the most?

Viva la Revolution! And, no, it's not the Nintendo Go. "Go" was a codename for another project, I believe.

I don't know SirThom. IGN has a Nintendo representative on record in an interview during the GDC stating with absolute certainty that Revolution is not the final name of the system.

True, Revolution is only the codename, but the real name is NOT Nintendo Go. That was quickly disproven. But yes, Nintendo should reveal the actual system name quite soon.

"Go" is a really stupid name anyway. I'm actually looking forward to see what Nintendo has to show, also interested in the PS3 of course (Playstation fanboys for LIFE!), but mainly I'm interested in Unreal Tournament 2007.

Revolution is a perfect name for the console. I don't know why they'd change it. But I'm definitely looking forward to more Rev versions of Nintendo games like SSMB and Super Mario, and of course there's always more info and videos of LoZ: Twilight Princess to look forward to.

I owned a Nintendo DS once, but if the Lite shows up at E3 and goes live in North America, I may just have to buy one of those. They look awesome and with the newly revealed LoZ: Phantom Hourglass game coming out for the DS, I'll find it hard not to. The game is being done in Wind Waker style (which I LOVE) so I'm very interested in more news on it.

PS3? HECK YEAH, baby! And God of War 2 news! WOOT!

It's gonna be an awesome E3. I think I've put most of my PC gaming aside for a few years. Seeing as how both the Rev and PS3 will be released right before I deploy in November, I'm gonna need a ton of cash saved up. :)

Wait, you found something beneficial to God of War? May I ask what?

It was very beneficial to me. I was thoroughly entertained more than I have been by any game in a long, long time. God of War had amazing graphics, outstanding level designs, an interesting story and dealt with one of my favorite topics: Greek mythology. Not to mention the pure action gameplay was the best of any game of that genre other than maybe Devil May Cry, and I prefer GoW. Talk about a good way to get out aggression!

...and the content of the game didn't bother you in any way? At all?

No, it didn't. The game was based on Greek mythology and held very true to that. Just like I don't have a problem playing Grand Theft Auto. If you have a problem with it that's fine, but everyone doesn't get offended by the same things.
