I went their a long while ago maybe a year or so, quite an interesting looking zone. It was funny it was pretty much completely empty when I was there and then randomly I ran into this Horde Warlock, we just kind of waved and went on our own ways.

That's pretty cool! Didn't know you could sneek in there like that. wonder what the zone will be for eventually...?

I've heard one of two options:

Starting zone for a race, which I think is pretty much defunct now.
40man Raid zone, which makes sense because the "official" entrance is a green portal. Green portals = raid zone.
