What the heck!?

nope, it's the simple difference of cga.com and cga.org

cga.com is shutting down.....not cga.org

Go check your address bar.

Please have some sympathy, guys.

Having started a number of projects online, I know that not all succeed. Tribe of Judah and the Christian Gamers Alliance are the two most successful projects in which I've been involved. Others like Sounds of Starcraft and The Battle of Dylar IV fizzled after a while, so I can understand some of the frustration the leaders of christiangamersalliance.com are experiencing.

I wish Jericho_Cross and others involved in CGA.com success in future projects. If they're willing to forgive a few insensitive comments in this thread, then perhaps they might be interested in finding a place within our community.

wow.... this forum scared me so much.... dang... When i first read that post crazy thoughts hit my head.... first being... who was that leader since i thought tek was leader of CGA or is there a "higher up" board that we common citizens don't know about... haha. anyways.

This is a pretty sad time... It is hard to have to close a site down in which you put your heart into... but... sometimes it has to happen. My prayers will be with them.

and on that note....

I think this is a time in which we need to thank our leaders for there service to us... I, personally, do take you guys for granted... thank you. Without CGA i wouldn't have much communication with alot of friends i have online (which i personally will never wanna meet in RL... sorry guys... that is just against my nature... kinda creepy... haha.)

Sounds of Starcraft?
The Battle of Dylar IV?

Heh, must of happen in the early years...

I think he's saying that he hadn't heard of those two games. Neither had I. Of course, I inferred from their titles that I didn't really care about them enough to google them.

Sounds of Starcraft was a Starcraft fansite I operated several years ago, before founding Tribe of Judah in 1999.

The Battles of Dylar IV is another Starcraft-related project started in (I believe) 1998. The project was a collaborative fanfic with several talented writers each writing one or two characters. The story was never finished, but I still have the text of the original scenes somewhere in my archives.

</offtopic>

I do hope that whatever project Jericho_Cross and crew set their hand to next will find great success.

I wonder if it is possible to mark the chapter leader for spamming. Wouldn't that be like falling on your own sword :P

You may want to contact the person holding the domain and see if you can buy it off of him. Also pick up christiangamersalliance.org <- ya its looong and forward it to the server.

Generally if you have keywords in the domain it counts a heck of alot in the ranking.

take a google search for "christian gamers", the first two results have "christian" in the domain name. Of course you have to factor in how much it ranks the reliability of the site and the content.

completly sorry Tek. Didnt mean to intend to be rude, but now i can see your point. I can imagine how tough it would be for that happening on something you created. Again i am sorry other CGA.
