Here's a cool list of things that have occurred since Duke Nukem Forever was announced:

Also includes: "Things that have taken less time than Duke Nukem Forever's development".

I thought it was a good read. :)

Correct me if I am wrong but that is a Evil Dead rip off :D

More of a homage, not a rip-off. Many lines from Evil Dead 1-2, Army of Darkness and They Live were used because the creators were fans. Some of the best ones were made up, like when you find the dead space marine from Doom Duke says, "That's one Doomed space marine!" Or when you find the broken terminator robot he says, "Terminated!"

Take-Two seems set on giving it to us sometime this year, the $4.25 million that they're paying for the game has an extra half million dollar bonus attached if the game gets to them before January 1, 2007. While the people over at 3d-Realms have said they "would never ship a game early (even a couple of months), for 500k", it at least indicates that they see that as a maybe doable deadline, right?

Then again, I first got exited about "Duke Nukem 4" reading sites that don't exist anymore about a decade ago. If a child had been born when the game was officially announced (April 27, 1997) the little tyke would be starting the 4th grade this fall. The child would probably be old enough to grasp the mechanics (if not the content) of the game when it does finally come out.
