Oh and personally I have a slow work week and the kids are off school. So I will be on more than normal (no cracks about how that is possible). I do have family stuff on Thursday and Friday.

Any way, all are welcome to come here for Thanksgiving if you need a place just let me know...

First, let the record show that my mesquite smoked turkeys are the best in any free country in the world. Juicy and tender, I know they are done when you can pull the leg out of the bird with your hand.

Second, since I cannot make stuffing with my turkey (smoking bread just seems to be bad). My mom makes the best stuffing in the world (well she really does not, but I have to state the family line).

I will be going to my Mothers, My family tends to run thanksgiving with my B day so if I do not show up they send the gestopo after me.! We all get fat and sassy!

So good times.....good times!

better yet when the leg falls off as you move the bird from the pan to the platter! Ever tried cooking your bird upside down? I thought my dad was crazy but it makes the juiciest turkey breast you have ever tasted. And there is nothing better then his homemade sausage/giblet stuffing with homemade turkey gravy. (Its even better the next day for breakfast)

Yes, cooking upside down lets the natural fat from the dark meat run thru the naturally dry white meat. Ancient smoking secrete passed on thru many native american generations of turkey cookers...
