What are your Top 10 Videogames?

Yes, out of all the threads concerning videogames floating around in cyberspace, this is probably the most overdone. There have been a few "Top Games" articles lately on the IGN/Gamespy entertainment websites.

Gamespy's Top 25 GameCube Games

Gamespy's Top 25 Xbox games of all time

IGN's Top 100 Games of All Time

Now, of course, if you check out those lists, no doubt you'll see some listings you'll disagree with (Metroid Prime at number 52? What the monkey sauce is that?).

So, if you were to make a list of 10 (or more if you're greedy) games that you believe are the best ever, what would they be?

I'd like to emphasize that it'd be cool if the lists were personal, not what you've been indoctrinated by gaming culture to include (if you've never played Half-Life [Go play it! Now!!!], don't put it on your list).

What are YOUR Top 10 Games of all time?

1.Medal of Honor AA-First FPS i EVER played, and i still like to play it.
2.Splinter Cell Chaos Theory-SOO much fun, awsome graphics too
3.Halo-really makes you feel like master chief, great story too
4.Splinter Cell Pandora Tommorrow
5.half life 2-fun fun fun
6.Counter strike (source and 1.6)
9.CoD-not UO
10.Halo 2-yah, thats right, ALL THE WAY AT TEN, single player was not too good, online is the only thing that gives it a ten lol.
11.Elder Scrolls Morrowind-needs better graphics, probally would have been funner that way, and not so much glitchiness.
Oops, i guess i am greedy LOL.

1. Half-Life 1 and 2
2. Doom (any)
3. Duke Nukem 3D
4. Rise of Nations
5. Call of Duty
6. Twisted Metal (any)
7. Grand Theft Auto (any)
8. Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
9. Final Fantasy 7
10. Monkey Island (any)

This is a hard one because games hit you at different times and mean different things to you....Therefore i will list 10 games in no order all PC, consoles are for whimps...

Diablo
Age of Empires (and expansions)
Age of Kings (and expansions)
Ultima Online
Dark Age of Camelot (not including ToA)
WarCraft
WarCraft 2 (and expansions)
World of Warcraft
Half Life-(and various mods)
And i ran out of time...

1) Starcraft - Gameplay never gets old. After eight years, there still hasn't been an RTS game to challenge Stacraft.
2) Final Fantasy Tactics - Not many people played this one, and they're missing out. Tactics is an incredible game.
3) Final Fantasy 6 - Best one in the series, but I like Tactics better. Some like Chrono Trigger better, but it's way overrated, imo.
4) Final Fantasy 9 - My favorite FF.
5) Soul Calibur 2 - The best fighting game I ever played, and one of the most addicting games ever.
6) Warcraft 2/3 - Not as good as Starcraft but it still holds a place in my heart.
7) Unreal Tournament/UT2003/UT2004 - The only FPS I ever got into.
8) Diablo 1/2 - I never got into it as much as some other people I know but still an excellent game.
9) Donkey Kong Country 1/2/3 - I'm reaching a bit here because the other games I'm thinking of don't really belong in a top ten list. Still, DKC is still a great sidescroller and very underrated, although a bit outdated.
10) Since I can't think of anything else at the moment, I'll just say Skies of Arcadia and/or FFX.

1. Starcraft
2. Half-life series (and mods)
3. Diablo 2
4. World of Warcraft
5. Warcraft 3
6. Legend of Zelda: Oncarina of Time
7. Deus Ex
8. Resident Evil 4
9. Soul Calibur 2 (Best fighting game ever)
10. Chrono Trigger

Honorary Mention
Knights of the old Republic
Max Payne 1 & 2
Metroid Prime
Super Smash Brothers M
Tony Hawk 4
F-Zero GX (Best Racing game ever)
WindWaker
And many more I can't think of but fondly remember.

1. Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 (oooh yeah...)
2. UT2004
3. Half-Life 2/CSS
4. Metal Gear Solid 2
5. Final Fantasy X
6. Max Payne 2 (absolutely amazing game, but it has some content issues)
7. Guild Wars
8. Timesplitters 1 (betcha didn't know there was a number 1!)
9. Driver 2
10. Battlefield 2

Something like that, not exactly in that order either.

Deus Ex was an amazing game, I loved how every level has at least 8 ways to win. You can go for the sneaking route and go in from the roof or go in run and gunning the front way, or talk to one of the guards and bribe him into opening some back door, or even just snipe everyone from a distance or blow the building up with your trusty Rocket Launcher, or even go the pacafist route and use non leathal weapons almost the entire game.

Too bad the second game was pretty horrible, I purchased it recently for $5 and played through about three hours and then realized this wasn't Deus Ex, it was watered down and terrible.

Invisible War wasn't too terribly bad, it's just sad that with the breakup of "the other Ion Storm", there probably won't be another sequel to Deus Ex. I'm not entirely sure how they'd be able to maintain a story arch though now with the second "choose your ending" in Invisible War.

Looks like it's up to the second Fable (The greatest RPG ever! Seriously! Lionhead Studios means it this time!) and Knights of the Old Republic III (Jedi amnesia strikes again...again?) for open-ended gameplay.

In order from 1-10:

Tecmo Super Bowl (NES)
FFVI (still the best in the series, after all these years)
NHL 94 (Genesis)
FFVII
Mike Tyson's Punch Out
Wolfenstein 3-D (PC, the original)
Sim City 2000
Madden '05 (IGN says '04 was the best, I say '05)
NBA Jam: Tournament Edition (arcade)
Street Fighter 2 (any incarnation)

Here are my favorites in order 1-10.... OF ALL TIME!!!!:

Perfect Dark for the N64 (Before microshaft bought out Rareware....)
The legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Still need to find that last Heart Piece...)
The legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Dark Age of Camelot (Best pvp system yet)
Super Mario Bros on the NES!!!
Duck Hunt on the NES (yea baby)
Half Life II
World of Warcraft (Great pve and crafting system)
Counter Strike Source
Counter Strike

Hmmm, I've never really thought beyond Top 5.

Possibly from #1 to #10:

Knights of the Old Republic
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Half-Life/Opposing Force
Call of Duty
Total Annihilation
Star Trek: Elite Force
Dungeon Siege
Freelancer
