CS has lost it's luster to me...
I've found myself play enemy territory alot.
It' has more depth...and more abilites to use.
I don't think I'll be on CS much anymore...if ever...
I still have AIM at Ragnarok3122 if anyone wants to hook up for a game of ET.
ToJ needs to all try it
 
It's fun, I play as Que Pasa, (no tag). I haven't gotten my sound to work under Redhat Linux yet, thats another project that needs work. Maybe I should just get a new sound card, as it seems to be the source of compatability issues.
 
Defection... I play bf1942 and ut2k3 at max resolution and it looks funky but i still come back to cs...

Star Wars Galaxies has stolen my heart...although I have been playing some Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights in between.

So many games out there, so little time...bleh. WHY MUST WE WORK??? WHY???

It seems the cs chapter needs some life injecting into it..I am trying to set up a weekly toj only hour to do random stuff and will let you know how it progresses
 
I have to admit, I have been watching the chapter go slowly down hill.

There may not be anything that we can do, though - there are just newer and more fun games out there that are appealing to some of us. I know of one guy who never played anything but CS - I tried to get him to play other games but he was a CS fanatic. I showed him one certain game and he hasn't touched CS since...that's been almost 2 months now.

It seems that CS has lost it's luster - maybe because of the fact that most of the veterans have been playing it for several years and it's not evolving; some people need change. I know I need change every now and then.
 
I think the lack of a new version has taken the potency out of it. With hl2 around the corner and promises of 1.6 just not happening ppl are losing faith in the game.

Those that play it for the game will be lost. But if like me you play it for fellow toj guys then it shouldnt matter what the game is.

But if ppl arent playing cs anymore we should think about the server and what we should do with it.
 
I remember that the entire reason I bought Counter-Strike was to play on the ToJ server


there just wasn't anyone playing StarCraft or UT anymore
 
i play anythign and everything i have just IM me... although on CS i press 3 alot to bring up my gun now.... and its my knife so i die alot

i still play cs, it's just that i am in ToJ, mdp, and 1GoD, and the other 2 are much smaller and has more of a "family" feeling.. if u know what i mean, that's the kind of server i want to be in.. i havent seen too many faces that i reconize in the toj sever lately, but i'll continue to check.. i will still play in toj's cs server

hey look i know i am ugly and all but how could you not reconize me the n00b of all n00bs and the most awesome 1337 mad rusher in ToJ the one and only...... ME lol
 
When I pub (which I don't do very often) I pub in ToJ and I love to see familiar faces. Keep on playing guys b/c ToJ is a good community and needs as many ppl as possible to support it through and through.
