The box had a very very simplified description of what exists in the game including almost illegible maps. It's mostly written with things like...'An Archmage heals grievous wounds while sundering foes from afar".
If there is anything of worth in the box, it's the shortcut keyboard mappings. But if you are used to WoW, it may be old hat.
Even so, I think the box material is worthless. However, retailers have strategy guides for like $20 and a strategy guide/atlas combo for about $35. I actually despise these things because I remember when DAoC came out, they inserted a fold out atlas of each of the realms in the box.
I'd say that the guides would be of greater use, if you are willing to fork out the extra money. I'm currently waiting to play the game to make that determination.
