Well I was looking at different sites looking at the history of christianity, And I found this weird one.
It claims to be a christian site, but most of the history seemed anti christian. It was like they were putting down all the worst things the christians have done and ont mentioning the good.
What happened to mother Theresa. Atleast it had alot of quotes from catholic saints. Their the coolist.

Not to mention, you should be skeptical of anything you find hosted at geocities, or any similar type place. If it was something the author cared a great deal about, had credentials in, and was reputable, they would dish out for some real hosting. With hosting as low as 3-5 bucks a month, there's no reason they wouldn't.

Now, I realize that's not an entirely fair evaluation, but the truth sometimes hurts. How much can he care about (or know about) something which he won't spend 5 bucks a month on. Also, the last update was over 2 years ago

^yeah, what your saying has always been true for me. You have to watch out for geocities sites, however I think u have to give this guy some credit. It looks like to me he put a lot of work into this site.

This guy must be mad at christians for some reason. I guess it makes sense that if you want to attack a group of people, you try to make them out to be bad people. However he doesn't really have to say alot to convince me that christians are bad people. (Mat 19:17) That doesn't really mean they aren't good either... I just see a lot of anger and hate when I read the articles. I disagree with about everything he writes about, but to each thier own I guess.
hehe, I guess some people liked it:

well, I guess he chose his words carefully, because it does look "well-researched" in appearance, but when I read it, I'm thinking more on the terms of "not well rounded" or "drastically slanted"...

well I think all the facts in the history are correct, but its wrong to only state the bad things christians have done and not the good.
Even though they've done alot of bad things.

well, there's not really any group of people out there that havent done a lot of bad things. it is after all, human nature.

I agree. But to only state the negative, isnt very fair for people who are just trying to learn about christianity. Like if someone who didn't know anything about the religion they would think christians are horrible. U have to balance it out.

Not to mention that the "Christian Horror Picture Show" events were committed by those who were obviously not Christian. You can call yourself a vegetarian until you're blue in the face, but if you eat meat at every meal, you're a liar. The problem is that the world, undiscerning (perhaps willingly?) of what true Christianity is, lumps these groups of people in with true believers - even though their behavior runs counter to everything that Jesus ever taught. Anyone with a precursory knowledge of Christ's teachings should be able to tell you that these folks obviously were not living in harmony with the teachings of their claimed Messiah. Christians? Not a chance - belief governs behavior.

that is nit neccessarily true..my personal site is on geocities..does that make me less credible?  I think not..:)
There is a marked difference between a personal site and a site that is put forward as an authority on any subject other than the author and his opinions.

I used to have a geocities site but I forgot about it. It has my pic on it from when I graduated high school so long ago. I forgot my account name though..:(

My old band has a crappy web site at faithweb. It's bad, our drummer made it because I was too lazy

It's 6 years old, and here's what to expect: Poor spelling, even worse graphics, and terrible pictures. Like I said, I had no involvement whatsoever

I thought about editing that last post when it occurred to me that I was opening myself to some serious ridicule, but everyone needs a good laugh, right?....right?....guys?
