Sorry for being a little behind. Oddly enough, I've been stressing about work.

Luke12:22Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.

Another related verse is Matthew 6:34:
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

If you search the New Testament for the phrase "Do not worry," it comes up with a TON of places where Jesus tells us not to worry. Sure, it's not one of the 10 Commandments that Moses was given by God, but it sure is one that Jesus gives us.

We've got enough to deal with. Going on worrying about every detail of our lives is essentially practicing atheism! (Thanks Mel for the pointer on that). Jesus has told us to let it go, give it to Him, and just let things happen as they will. We can't control every situation in our lives, and worrying about it basically is how we tell God that we don't trust Him to handle things for us.

When the tightness hits your chest and you feel like you're holding on too tightly to something that God is going to handle... just close your eyes, take a deep breath, and then pray something like this:

Father, I know that you've told us not to worry, but here I am again worrying. I'm sorry that I can't always follow your commands, and I ask that you forgive me again. I ask that you take this weight from me, and help me learn to just relax and let you carry the burden. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
