Water found on the moon!

... :rolleyes: Who cares? Why is this significant in any way? \
Was it really worth millions just to discover that *gasp* water has been found on the moon? :confused:

(Probably put there by previous astronauts. :rolleyes:)
 
It's very significant. All moon creation theories upto know have relied on a creation where no water could've survived. Now there is evidence that not only a little bit of water survived by probably as much water as there is in the Caribean Sea will have to have survived. Its time for them to go back to the books and figure out a new theory.
 
also water can spawn life too, so if we found space bacteria or whatnot that would awesome

So in other words a celestial body next to the earth, which has over 60% of its surface area covered in water, also contains water.

I really don't know what you all are saying.
I believe this is very significant. Discovering about our moon is as significant as discovering about our earth.
you have to look at it from the scientist view point. Whether you are an evolutionist or a creationist, scientists are curious and we LOVE to find out about things we don't know. The discovery of water on the moon sparks a large amount of curiousity.

I will love to hear the evolutionists new theory of how the water got on the moon.

I (as you may be able to tell due to my vehemence in my post) am completely fasinated by this discovery. Almost any type of science fasinates me. *except geology (sorry Atown's old major)*

I don't believe in spontaneous generation or regeneration or whatever it's called, but I do believe in Evolution. The ability to change as your environment changes is absolutely necessary for survival.

Anyway, back to the point. How is it anything but fascinating that water exists on the moon? The moon was once thought to be just a giant spherical rock orbiting the earth.

if something is there... it must have come from somewhere... right?

ok.... well... where did it come from? the theory that man evolved from monkeys, which came from.... ---> bacteria. That entire theory, part of it is based upon the theory that the moon collided with the earth and was a giant molten lava pit for a while... well... how does water live on molten lava?

It doesn't.

This is fascinating to me for two reasons.

1. I love learning new things about God, and how he put together his creation. And the reasons in which he decided to put water on the moon.

2. The try and understand the humanistic view of how could have happened. *the humanistic view basing itself upon dwarfism... excuse me, my computer spelled that incorrectly, Darwinism*

Would it be economically feasible to send this water to Earth? I'm sure there'd be a huge market for Moonwater. :cool:
