=== † THE SERAPHIM † ===
--- About Us ---
We are a gamming community with over 150 members. Our primary game is Mechwarrior online. However, we have a presence in many other games such as Star Citizen (upcoming), Elders Scroll Online (upcoming), SWTOR, Borderlands, DayZ, EVE, GW2, Planetside, and now Warthunder. We are fairly new to Warthunder. Most pilots are flying tiers 0-5. However, we do have some that are much higher. Most of the pilots are taking our time going through the tiers and are not advancing to the next tier until the all the planes they enjoy (and their crews) are maxed out. We primarily play AB but play other game modes as well.
† The Seraphim † was established on high moral expectations… no profanity, no trolling, and no taunting while also striving to treat others, both in unit and outside the unit, better than we would like to treat ourselves… it is our trademark.
What began as a guild Soon™ became a family – a fellowship.
--- What We Do ---
Leadership in the Seraphim is quite different from that in other places. Many of us have come from units where leadership meant power or prestige. In the Seraphim, leadership means a commitment to encourage and serve those under our watchcare. Our leadership system is very precisely designed so that no matter how large the unit grows, each pilot will be part of a squad so that no one gets lost in the shuffle. Advancement in leadership is not based on battle prowess or popularity; it is based on the ability to serve the needs of subordinates and encourage/equip others to do likewise.
Commitment to Casual Players ... We are committed to all of our pilots regardless of their skill, experience, or commitment to play. If we have a pilot that is wishing to increase their skill they will find others who are more than willing to train them in any area necessary.
Fellowship ... The Seraphim are a group of pilots who actually like to hang out together and they do not need a special night or gimmick to do it. Most nights, a new recruit can find 20-30 members in channels on our private TeamSpeak server.
Everyone makes mistakes ... We know that. That is why no one calls out a pilot for a blunder in a match ... actually; we handle this by confessing our mistakes to one another once the match is over and handle the assessment in a positive way. "Praise in public / critique in private" is our method of leadership. We are here to edify one another (and even our opponents) because, to us, others are more important than self.
--- Why We Do It ---
The Seraphim was built on Christian principles (one does not need to be a Christian to join) and, as such, we take our commitment to our Code of Honor very seriously. With over 150 members on base, we have found that many others find this kind of respectful environment to be beneficial as well.
Some of us pilot our planes with our speakers on and our children in the room ... we are strict on our comm rules because no child should have his or her innocence tarnished by someone playing a game. We are strict on our trolling / taunting stance as well for much the same reason ... we want to be the examples that our children would emulate.
--- Our Vision ---
The Seraphim exists to give every man and woman of conscience a place to pilot their planes in a guilt-free environment.
--- Our Goals ---
To train pilots who will encourage and edify others so that they may become mentors and leaders as well.
--- Who/What Are We Looking For? ---
Principled pilots of all skill levels are welcome to join us.
--- How Do I Get Started? ---
Simple. You can search us in game “The Seraphim” (-SRPHM-) or you can fill out an application on www.seekHim.com, setup your TeamSpeak client to our private frequency, and then hang out in the Seraphim Meeting Hall to be warmly greeted by some of the greatest guys and gals in the Inner Sphere.
