A Guide to the Lock.
Warlocks are the Swiss Army Knives to WoW. Our pets help fill in if there is a certain shortage of a classes abilities (Tanking or CCing). We hand out health stones to help the tanks/DPSers to keep them going, and that also helps the healers out in tight spots. One of the most important things Warlocks do is make a SOUL STONE. If a raid wipes with a warlock in it, it says a ton about that warlock. Especially when a raid wipes when there are three warlocks..... but thats another story for another time.
There are several chores that a Warlock needs to perform while in any group.
PVE group -
~Imp out as the pet, or the Voidwalker when needed, and rarely the Succubus for CCing. Note: The Succubus' CC at level 60 only hasts 19.5 seconds.
~Be sure to make enough Healthstones for all the Mele classes in your group.
~BE SURE TO MAKE SOUL SHARDS AFTER EVERYMOB!!!!! (Or until your Soul Pouch is full.) Theres nothing more embarassing than saying "Im out of shards." when you need to summon someone.
~ BE SURE TO HAVE A SOULSTONE UP AT ALL TIMES!!!!! (If you can't remember, then ask the Paladin or the Priest you put it on to remind you when its effect is fading.)
PVP group -
~ Imp out to utilize the Imp's Blood Pact buff (420 or an extra 780 hp).
~ Chain fear priests, druids and other healing classes; use the AOE fear you have CAREFULLY.
(PVP is constantly changing, so be aware of your abilities. Warlocks can easily beat any class if you are prepared.)
