Warlock joke.

I posted this in the Redeemed forums, thought you guys might like this as well.

A warlock walks into a bar, sits down, and orders a drink. The paladin next to him says "Why order a drink? Can't you conjure your own?"

The warlock, obviously peeved, turns and says "You know that's mages, not warlocks, right?"

"Oh, sorry," the paladin responds, "With those robes you guys all look the same to me."

"Right, whatever" the warlock replies. He then finishes his drink and smashes the bottle into the paladin's face, knocking him off his stool. Dazed and confused the paladin climbs to his feet and cries out "What was that for!?"

The warlock responds "Oh, sorry, with that plate armor I thought you could tank. You guys all look the same to me."

ROFL!

Warlock Joke: The Continuing Story...
"Mommy," mutters the pally as he bubbles and hearths home.

Speaking of pallies, how many rogues does it take to gank a pally? Two; one to ambush him in the wild, one to ambush him in IF.

Ah, there's no better way to start the morning off right than to pick on a pally. :D

While we are on the subject of Paladins, I will say playing on a pvp server on the horde side (and as a mage), that paladins are a pain. I think their bubble is a bit overpowered. At least with the mage's ice block he can't heal himself (no bandages), though others could heal him (note: pvp healers are rare). The warlock, priest, and mage bubbles they don't make you impervious to things, just take a certain amount of dmg then pop. I can't counter spell the paladin, sheep the paladin, nothing. So I have to kill the guy 2 sometimes 3 times over. Kiting him is different because he has blessing of freedom (though now that I have blast wave that helps).

The other thing I will have to mention, is despite all that toughness, a lot of them really are kind of chicken, at least on my server. A lot of paladins, even ones 1-2 levels above me, run away form me a lot.... or at least try to. Don't get it, their dmg, especially at my level (30) isn't horrible. I think they are more of a challenage than warriors (at my level), who just get blinked away from and kited all over (poor guys, kind of feel sorry for them). Perhaps people who want to run away in pvp servers tend to play paladins?

What server are you playing on? And what's your toon's name? I may come pester you some.

My mage, Klangdon eats warriors for breakfast, and snacks on them inbetween the major meals. Paladins are walking DoT's. I hate them in duels.

Cry More N00b. ;) just kidding :)

Seriously though, I think that Paladins are actually reasonably balanced, even with their bubble... and if you've ever seen a paladin try fight a 'lock with a Felhound out --- it's pitiful. It is no wonder the pallies were complaining to blizz until blizz gave their exorcism/holy wrath the capability to hit demons.

A pally at any one time has 3-4 self-buffs on. A blessing, An aura, and a seal... That's more than enough munchies to keep the felhound alive almost indefinitely.

Pally bubbles have been contraversial since day 1... but on the other hand, Shamans can just as easily get back up when they're beaten down... something that flag protectors in WSG never ever seem to remember. ALWAYS take a Shammie's insignia thingy!

I am on "The Venture Co", kind of wanted the rp-pvp experience. So on friday ZG runs if you see me initially typing a lot of stuff in double parens that's just me not quite out of the habit of (( putting out of charcter comments in parens like this )).

How is it on a RP server? I've always wondered how it was like playing on there.

Since it is an RP/PVP server, about 50-75% of the population is far more concerned with PvP than RP. Though I think this is largely due to the fact that Blizzard didn't release a normal PvP server at the same time they came out with this server. Many non-RPers roll there because it is the newest PvP server.... hopefully a lot will leave once a new PvP server has come out.

But for the remaining RPers, it is a lot of fun. I have been in multiple RP events, where the leader organizes either a mystery or something to act as an underlying plot point, and everyone else role plays things out. The story takes on a life of its own, and is often quite fun and entertaining. People put more depth into their characters so pugs can be a lot more fun if you find the right people. Characters making comments or reacting to things as they occur, it often times has me laughing out loud for real.

Sometimes chacters take a break from questing and running instances to sit down and just chat in character, which isn't for everyone granted, but I enjoy it. Often times this is done while fishing. I have found that compared to normal interactivity (outside of our guild, which is really an exceptional one, imo) people actually get to know one another better. Which I enjoy as well. It opens up opportunities to share things about each other's lives, and even to share the word sometimes.

Also you find more people RPing by level 30 or so than at level 10 or so... but perhaps that's just my experience.
