I am working towards my shadow's embrace set.
The set has a total of 3 yellow and 3 blue sockets on them. The combined bonus to socket the set with the correct colors is +9 spell hit (which is a good stat for a warlock). But getting that bonus requires that I not get straight +dmg gems (which are red).
I could get something like:
Veiled Noble Topaz (+4hit, +5 dmg) for my yellow sockets (these match yellow and red).
Glowing Nighteye (+5 dmg, +6 stam) for my blue sockets (these match red and blue).
These would of coarse give me less +dmg than straight red, but I would get additional +hit and +stam for a sacrifice of 24 spell dmg (6 gems x 4 dmg/gem). For that I would gain +21 hit and 18 stamina. Is that a good trade off?
I am an affliction warlock.
Also should I consider yet another stone I am not looking at now?
Thanks!
