wanna see whose trying to hack CCGR?

mostly china, but i hadnt noticed that neitherlands before

the IPs are probably spoofs, if i was bored I could break in fairly easy. Most hackers are immature tho. Either that or they are brats trying out the latest security flaws. Alot of times a supposed "hacker" is actually a false positive. Sometimes a bot will be indexing a page and will get banned.

Our server at work got hacked by some Koreans a couple months ago. Our servers was trying to send out 10's of thousands of spam emails. It totally shut down our email system.

There is a difference between hacking (ie trying or gaining entry into a system) and phreaking (reading personal information and/or disrupting a system after gaining entry)

I made a hall of shame what do you think?

1. Personally, I think you are doing yourself a bad favor by trying to present people with possible hackers. It will probably only anger the hackers (or "crackers" as hackers are aka programmers), and lead to more severe crack attempts in the future.

2. There is a glitch in your template when visiting the "Sites we host" page.

all the ips I listed on their my server drops their packets they won't get to see their ip on the list very long. our server is pertty secure. The hacking attempts are people trying to figure out how to ssh in unfortunately they don't even bother to check the OS it's running and they try to log in as admin or administrator, anyone who knows their stuff will know that it's alinux box and the master account is root...n00bs

thanks for the ehads up on the sites we host, never noticed that before

anyone with any knowledge will synscan for the os.

I have a tool I use occasionally to test my firewalls. It can usually sniff out the os, any services its running, usually the version of the services.

if you really want to be secure, there is a online database that tracks ips and if 25 or so servers mark it as hostile, it is blacklisted. Its a good way to block alot of the stuipid people out there.

I looked it up awhile back, ill look it up when im not at work, no working to install linux on my macbook, and not packing to leave for college this weekend. In other words ill put it on my list and get to probably sometime next week.
