It's amazing how few people vote on non-presidential elections. My wife and I went about five minutes before the polls closed, there was one other voter there besides us, and when I scanned my card, the counter ticked over to 288.

288 people from my district voted.

And you've got to assume a good 50% of them are crazy people and/or night elf players like Bill. Though I'm betting they lost a large percentage of the WoW-player vote since we only had rolling restarts on Tuesday.

But, then again, my vote doesn't matter so much (even if I had met the registration date after my move). This is the heart of Redland. I don't even know why we have elections. We just need Republican primaries to decide our leaders here. Our Republican gubernatorial candidate won by 2/3 majority. If you agree, you don't need to vote because he doesn't need your vote. If you don't agree, you don't need to vote because your vote doesn't matter. It's practically a one party system.
